Playthrough and demo by ESP artist Kevin Storm of the 2019 new ESP LTD guitars Arrow 1000 in the Violet Andromeda finish. Locking tuners Floyd Rose 24 extra jumbo frets mahogany body macassar fretboard.
This guitar was my dream guitar ever since it was first announced. I bought it last year, swapped the pups for the EMG Het Set and I couldn’t be happier! It’s still my favorite guitar in my arsenal, even though I have a few now. It’s the best sounding, best playing, best looking guitar in my possession, and none of the guitars I own are boring or bad in any sense. I recorded guitar tracks with this guitar, and it’s a damn workhorse.
You may just need a good setup. The Floyd rose and new strings need finetuning. That one of the main reasons I usually play foxed bridges and evertunes. But this guitar and the ‘87 M1 I played seriously made me reconsider that, being extremely stable. Have an experienced person set it up for you, dont throw away the baby with the bathwater ;)
@@Scurvyrot scurvy my dude, thank you for your insight. of course this is still on my mind, and hope yours was just a lemon (hopefully u got a replacement!) but wanna know something funny, ive been waiting for that thing for almost half a year now, between saving & ordering & waiting more haha. it has a lot of stuff i dig (you are a man of real culture too, i see! ;) haha really waiting years for my 1st ever V. i like to hope for the best man, as Arrow / V Brothers! : )
@@Scurvyrot That's bad, man. I never had such an experience, but I never ordered through sweetwater either. I wish you all shiny new perfect guitars :)
@Arrakchou Yassine They are producing these in Indonesia now but mine was a Korean model. So I cannot speak for the Indonesian version- they might have worked out the kinks now but mine was horribly balanced meaning ALL of the guitar's weight was hanging from my left shoulder while standing and it was very uncomfortable to play so I returned it to the dealer. I'd go for an E-II as I've read those are better balanced and comfortable. It's unfortunate because the black metal version is such a beautiful design! Best of luck to you!
Is it a light guitar? I'm really interested in getting one and my EC is heavy on my shoulders at live shows so I thought maybe this would be easier on my body in the long run. Plus it looks amazing!!
can you still get this with regular head stock or just the reverse head stock not a big fan of the reverse head stock if anyone can tell me or help me out
whats the weight on the guitar? does it feel heavy since its mahogany? also, does the place where it sits on your leg dig in from that point and is the back of the neck sticky from the glossy finish?
@@spectre3492 I've never understood the problem with "sticky" necks. I guess I use my hands differntly and never really "grip" the neck, I place my thum, and that's basically it, no issue taht I can describe. The guitar sits comfortable if you're used to V's. If you play classical position sitting down, you're home free :)
@@kevinstorm6304 yeah i guess it depends on how sweaty your hands are too lol, the reason i ask about the upper horn is because this guitar has that extra scoop in it that comes to a point. i was curious if that dug into your leg at all when sitting down versus a regular V guitar.
Great show of awesome looking guitar ! How about the E-ll arrow ? Is there any difference to this one ? Would you prefer one over the other and why ? Cheers ✌🏻🚀🌍👍🏼
I have a lot of Ltd guitars that I prefer over EII versions. It’s personal and I always suggest trying them out for yourself!! But one thing is sure, this was a kickass guitar
Hi Zeljko, the guitar has a thin U neck, like a lot of the Ltd guitars. I personally prefer those over anything else! My hands are not super big but I always get around 😀 any guitar with a tremolo always ever so slightly suffers sustain compared to string through body for instance but the guitar sings long enough for me haha. Thanks for the compliments and please let me know if you get one! I love seeing people play these!
Kevin Storm Thanks for the response! ^_^ Few more questions if you could help me with. How do you feel about the glossy neck? Is it sticky when being played? How does it feel being played sitting? And lastly does it neck dives like many Vs do?Thanks again man! Really appreciate it! 🍺
Hey! I dont mind the glossy neck. I used to sweat but the more you play the less that happens. It’s also a matter of “training” i guess. I keep my guitars extremely clean so maybe that also helps? This guitar was designed specifically to play comfortably also when sitting down. The extra cut out is for your leg, as you can see me hold it. Neck dive is something every V has somewhat. You need to just get used to it amd hold it. It really depends on your body shape and how high or low you hang it. For me this guitar hangs very balanced! Go try one if you have a chance!!
Yes, as I mentioned in the video, one of the reasons I always disliked Floyds was the hassle it is to keep it in tune. So I stayed away from them for years, but trying this one I see I’ve been wrong. It’s perfectly balanced, I really hammered it and it held tuning perfectly. If you’re considering one, this one won’t dissapoint, but I cant compare to other tremolo systems, as I never use them.
