I LOVE mine, but I had to lower the nut considerably. LOVE the pups. The neck is not near as thin as I had hoped.

Kirks guitars have always played well. I had three, a 1998 kh-2 black with skulls the other direction, a KH-3 spider ESP custom, and now since I'm less of a snob now, I have this guitar on its way. It's no different if not BETTER than the original ESP versions I bought for way more through the years. Carvin and ESP both, I have NEVER played such a great player from both companies. They make butter guitars, the ebony is always a fast board.

Hey man, awesome Review.. Superb Guitar indeed. the ESP Version is Made in Japan. it features the signature BB Pickups with engraved KH Signature ... as well a Neck Through Design (like it should be) BUT a Wooden Satin or Gloss finished Neck, which i personally prefer over any laquered neck anyday.

Fretboard is Macassar Ebony, which is why it looks a little different. Lovely instrument.

Man im debating whether or not to get this . This guitar looks and sounds gorgeous ASF. I spent alot lately on guitars (just started playing for the first time couple months ago . Electric and bass) You're definitely making me want this even more lol really thinking of doing a monthly payment plan for this of where i just pay for it monthly instead of all on the spot, since in Canada it costs like over 2 Grand lol I've never even spent like 1 grand on a guitar yet 💀 so thinking bout getting this would be a huge investment plan

That Floyd is one of the best Floyd's made. Only way you get better than an original 1000 is the shaller German Floyd. It's the same one he uses on his own custom USA models. Nothing wrong with that.

I do notice that the bone breakers have a killer clean tone compared to the active EMG pickups. Lot of people buy these guitars thinking that those are emg 81-60 set. But these are actually a JB and alnico set of PASSIVE pickups. Kirk uses them too, they're pretty damn awesome. A great blend for those who have complained through the years about the emg 81 and 60 set being TOO much for certain music styles or not versatile enough. These are WAY more versatile. Whilst they may be a bit more mellow as far as heavy chuggy tight crunch, they're very tight still, but have everything else too. From country to hard core death metal. Can't go wrong with this set.

i’m in between getting this guitar, and the esp e-ii horizon iii. is the KH-602 a better option even though it’s an LTD? i just want a bad ass guitar and wonder if the price difference is worth it

To be totally honest, I don't have a clue why they make them in the US to begin with. This is the closest guitar you get made in elsewhere. Believe me, I don't see ANY diference from the USA models that cost so much more. Not worth it imo. Cheers
