Yeah these are kind of hard to find. I had one on my ESP and was kind of dodgy so I looked around for another one. Found one in NOS condish. I get it all hooked find out the bar isn't' correct might be but I highly doubt it. No nub on the end and just spins around missing that set screw too. LOL some NOS. score. Other than its in really nice condition.
I really need to look for a new arm for mine. Mine is off a NY Custom Mirage Deluxe. It's a badass guitar . Bought it new in 88. I was like 16. Still plays great, but it's going to get a set up soon.
Cappy you find a whammy bar in black with the nub on the end like in this video let me know ifs its reasonable. Pretty sure mine was original black on the ESP M2
do you have any suggestion on tuning stability. My original 87 M-1 that I bought new in 89 just will NOT return to pitch. I can do a video to show you what I mean if you are willing to take a look? Regards.
@@cappy781 After I messaged you, I pulled it apart and found that both knife edges AND the posts were not looking good. So, that has to be it. Also, I noticed something very subtle...the knife edges were not set in (drilled in by milling machine) evenly. So, one side of the fucking thing is a few thousands high than the other... that HAS to be why it's been a bitch since I got it 30 years ago. I'm kind of pissed. But ... I think the answer is to have the baseplate re-milled.... which will fuck up the temper of the metal (hardness) if done incorrectly.. and then just buy new quality posts. I'll put her back together after that, but i'll pull her apart again, do a video and show you just for the community's sake/education. Thanks for your time man
