Ahhh, what an amazing performance!!! What a band!!! I love her wit and chops where needed, but never any of them is overdoing anything for the ego. All for the music... wonderful. Yes, I agree, the volume is low. Just listen on an appropriate sound system. This is not meant to listen to on crappy speakers, this needs a system as good as the music! Because its a great mix as well. And the camera work is wonderful and tasty, too!.
i agree but even with good headphones the volume level is weak need big speakers and a good stereo power amp to raise it to the level it deserves at the 13-minute mark she pops her eyes open and does an -oh! i like that spot as the highlight of her performance!
Best version of Endangered Species - watch the original on the sax and then think about her singing that part in "scat". If you play the bass at all and try to sing the "scat" she's doing, then you have a greater appreciation of that level of talent and skinny as a stick, not like Chris Squire (passed) or Stanley Clarke who have man handled the bass. Very good grove on that last song. Opens the mind to lots of variations on the percussion with that syncopation.
