Easy now I like maye but Daniels should be #1 over Williams then maye. I don’t see the hype with Williams but every year it’s a QB that I don’t understand why everyone is saying oh this guy is for sure the top QB

I think teams wanting a king’s ransom from Minnesota are going to realise that for #3 that will only include #11, #23, and a 1st in 2025. For #4 it will be the same but there will be an expectation of a 2nd coming back in 2024 or 2025. #5 will get #11 and #23. I can only see the Vikings offering any of the above if Maye is their target. I genuinely feel that although McCarthy has age on his side, Minnesota would be more than satisfied in drafting Penix Jr. at #11 and retaining #23 to use on defense.

Minnesota will be desperate enough to give up 4 1st-round picks. They are one QB away from a Super Bowl run. This is the perfect chance to fleece a desperate team.

Also, I love Jaden but I’m just afraid of injuries.He got injured in college games and had to get taken out from getting hit. He is a very skinny dude. It gets cold inDC too. Him running up the field 20° wet snow. Takes a big hit. I don’t know.

McCarthy is way underrated. His measurables and talent and intangibles are off the charts. Incredible arm and athleticism ran a 6.82 3 cone same as his RB corum Not to mention a 4.48 40 yd

@@jasonjanisewski78 when you have an elite D and a running game that is good enough to win a Nat'l Championship, OF COURSE you're going to limit high risk passes. They didn't need him winging it every play - they won with D and running it, which is MUCH safer.

@@Mark-wo9yt Except that isn't true. If McCarthy is actually great, he approach was MUCH Riskier. They had 4 games decided by single digits. They were trailing very late to ALA. The less risky approach if you can have a Burrow/LSU type Offense combined with a dominant Defense is to blow teams out if the water by like 55-10, not minimizing the score and keeping the other team competitive deep into the game

If I'm the Patriots and Jayden Daniels somehow doesn't get picked 2nd, it would not surprise me if they trade back and get a king's ransom of picks thanks to either the Raiders, Giants, Vikings, or Bears drinking the stupid juice for either a QB or Marvin Harrison Jr and then take the QB.

Drake will be the best qb in this draft when we look back on it 10 years from now heck he will probably be the best QB in the NFL in 10 years. Caleb will probably be better year one but I just see Drake turning into an absolute stud. He’s only 21. That’s What the patriots need . Sit him for the first year.

In 4 years we will be back here in the same spot talking about what a huge disappointment these quarterbacks are that were drafted in 2024. This is a fact. Not a guess. If we are lucky one of these guys will be elite and another will be ok but the reality is the numbers say most of these quarterbacks will fail. We do this same thing every year. We get hyped and by game 6 next year we get concerned.

It depends on where they go. Mahomes went to a PLAYOFF team. Stroud went to a Houston team with talent - particularly on offense. Young went to Carolina - with almost NO talent. Chicago has improved this off-season...Washington improved some too, probably not enough for Daniels to move the needle, but I think he'll OK... Maye to NE is going to be terrible, so it would not surprise me to see NE SIT Maye at least until NE is out of the playoffs - which will come by mid-season

Jones got them into the playoffs for the first time in eons. They WHIFFED big time on Evan Neal, their entire OL is a joke - almost as comical as their WRs. Possibly the worst in the league. NY would be smart to NOT go QB - improve the OL and WRs while they're still paying Jones.

@@sheesshhhhhh 100% correct. KC gave up 3 picks (swap firsts, a 3rd and next year first) to move up an get Mahomes. Plenty of people ripped that trade at the time. They ain't ripping it now and haven't for years. Having said that, trading up in the 1st for QBs almost never works out for that team that trades up

The Pats have been throwing everyone off this whole time. They have no intention of taking a QB. They are trying to get the best trade possible and if they don't get a package that allows them to get one of the other top 3 receivers and a boatload of other picks, they will stay at 3 and take Marvin Jr. They never intended to land Calvin Ridley. They never intended on trading for Tee Higgins, AJ Brown or any other $20 to $30 million veteran receiver. They are looking for a young franchise receiver they can control for 5 years who is as close to a lock as possible.

Like use pick 4, after the trades for MHJ, and stay at 34 and pick JJ or Penix... Like literally either way, immediate contenders. If we miss on the qb, then fine.. we go again next year, buy if we miss on WR talent, who do we go get next year? Nobody like MHJ?! Yeah I thought so... Maye isn't enough to keep us from exploring MHJ and some qb

I agree, but I think Maye can be Josh Allen w/ a brain. Round 1/#3 QB will have plenty of wiggle room - they might even sit him and go with Jacoby Brisket for at least half '24. No question, they need to improve the OL and get something other than WR4s, but next years QB class is NOTHING like this one. Pass on Maye and it may be 4-5 years before they get a guy with Maye's potential - if ever.

Drake Maye (or any other QB) is likely to fail on the Patriots while they have no offensive line and no receiving corp. The Patriots would be better off trading down, building a full roster, and finding a long term solution at QB in a future season.

This is illogical. By the time Maye is full time starter (2025), you will have the 2-7 rounds in this draft, 1-7 in 2025 and 2025 free agency to surround him with talent.

The plan is to sit him either part or the full rookie year. By next year, the team will be better equipped for him to take over.
