I really think every freshman college athlete should be forced to watch this whole doc. Maybe then 90% of these guys wouldn't end up broke and ruined by 40.
You'd think the financial advisors would give them the gist of this documentary (to summarize: don't marry a woman who would consider divorcing you as a potential reward).
The first thing a professional athlete should do when they sign their first professional contract is get a vasectomy. There is no greater return on investment than getting a vasectomy. Getting a vasectomy cost $500, but it will save you at least $250,000 in child support payments. Millions if you are a top athlete.

The WORST thing about the guys is that they are kids themselves at 24 and 25. They throw money away. Why can’t some of their money get deferred to age 35 or 40 when they are smarter to handle this? The Players Associations should pushed it. $6 million is $60,000 a year for 100 years. I would love to live off that.Or they could put their money in a IRA and pull out $600k and start another IRA. Then Pull out $60,000 a year to live off of. They can still be a kid. And live comfortably while their main money is put away. Put some money in a safe-deposit bank. Married or not, I wouldn’t share my $1 million bank account with a woman. That player stepped into that mess. Be smart. Why go into a business as a player? You don’t know business, don’t have the time to watch your business nor can you truly trust the people with your money to run a business.
It's hard to feel sorry for some of these dudes who've made the same mistakes over and over again with these women, i. e. Travis Henry. At the end of the day, they got themselves in these situations. Nobody told you to go and carelessly father 9 children with 9 random women. You would've thought he'd learned by the time he had the 1st one....
Fun fact: Travis Henry had to finance a big cocaine deal as he was behind paying around $170k a year in child support. Luckily he got caught and jailed.

They need to make these athletes get a vasectomy after their second child! Some of these damn guys have 12,13 or more kids by just as many baby momma's like birthing babies is a sport to be played just like football or basketball!

Tell you are on the team’s equipment staff. You set up the equipment and have to travel to every game. If they leave alone, then it was for money, if they still want to be with you, it could be real.
This is why you don't dress yourself up with bling and flaunt your money when you try to find a woman. Have them marry you for you. When you get some Instagram chick who is way out of your league all over you because they see you have cash they're just looking at you like an ATM. I think this is kinda crazy, women with a lot of money don’t attract all these men and if they do attract them they don’t get trapped by these men because they’d never be with someone who doesn’t have the same amount of wealth as them.
Take responsibility for your actions. What you buy is what you attract. Buy a supercar your gonna attract a super gold digger. Buy the correct equities you'll receive dividends or return on investment.
This is such a good episode! I think all high school students should watch this to learn about money management... and bust illusions of ginormous salaries
I guess they thought the pain and suffering she suffered from finding out Tiger was having an affair warranted $100 million. But I never understand these massive settlements for divorces. The women always make out like a bandit. They get millions and a house. It makes no sense.
It's not like it's her fault that Tigger strayed, plus it's his fault he didn't convince her to sign a harder pre-up to limit her to only enough cash to cover expenses for kids and maybe a small apartment for her in a posh neighborhood, which would not amount to $100 million.

These men don't deserve to be taken advantage of just because they are looking for happiness, sure maybe they have some problems but women like this are freakin possessed by greed.

Logic doesn't apply for these dudes who grew up being told they'll always be nothing, which likely galvanized them to work their butts off to getting their money. Once that fame & riches arrive, these guys feel that it's a justification against the haters and the women who rejected them when they were poor on top of ugly to spend their money on "hoes".

It's an entrepreneur that made an enterprise out of naked greed. Those people who signed up either live in fantasy land of marrying rich and being the last missing piece to a wealthy man's life or simply wish to take their slice by any means. Unlike older professions, this is more or less a messaging service for a specific event to occur and what the customer does with this information is up to them. If this app is smart enough, they'd put disclaimers about these sports stars possibly no-showing so the risk is all on the customer, plus $20 a month that automatically charges your credit card until you cancel, probably the last part in smallest possible print.
