If Tennessee can get 27 points in Athens i believe they will beat Georgia. Tennessee might just have the best overall defense in the country. My prediction Tennessee Tennessee 30 Georgia 28. Texas vs Tennessee in the SEC Championship game to let Texas know who the 1st and real UT is.
UT is a Playoff-caliber team for sure. We can win a LOT of games with an elite defense, and good run game. However, we'll never win it all unless our pass game clicks, and special teams gets more consistent.
I’m really hoping that the second half was a “growing up” moment for Nico. He made big plays in the second half in big spots. I’m hoping it could be his turning point. We see it all the time out of young Uber talented QB’s, they will struggle for a bit and then something just clicks, and I’m hoping that will be the case, bc if so the sky is the limit for this team.
The refs need to stay out of the game. A couple weeks ago…when the top 10 teams were a list of the SEC the refs caused this to change. The media was losing viewers out west and the rest of the country. So, the fix was in. Watch the Tn. vs Arkansas and the Bama vs. Vandy games. Every time Tn or Bama moved the ball flags were flying. Every time Ark or Vandy needed a first down flags were flying.
The question for Bama is how many teams will try and do what TN did that worked against Bama. Took away Milroe's run game and covered the long ball well, forcing him to only one option, passing in the midrange. I don't think Bama will see another defense as effective as making Bama and Milroe go this round and if they did, I do think Bama will score more points than they did against TN. But the best recipe for Bama is they have to be able to run the ball and it can't come from just Milroe. Do that and everything else opens up for this team offensively. Defensively, stop the run! They haven't been able to do that to the required level.
Hmmm not sure I think Nico missing downfield balls has been the story of the season for TN. Chattanooga, NC State, Kent State, OU, UF, and Bama he hit long balls down field. Granted, UF he only had one beyond 24 yards but, it counts. So AR is the only game he didn't have that long ball. And this offense did struggle the first half with catches but AR and UF did the best job in coverage in the secondary. OU did as well. He's taken the shots and it's gotten better. But this team finds a way to win while NIco get's more comfortable. This is ideally how you want any young QB to learn. While earning wins. Peyton Manning in his first 7 starts never beat UF and Bama in the same season as he's never beaten UF. Everything else is there for this team. Defense, rushing offense and Nico is turning a corner and the game is slowing down for him.
People always say we need to see more and oh well bama isn't bama they suck this year...I didn't know a team could suck and beat georgia i guess we have a great chance to whoop georgia too

McCoy is a corner. EB played safety. Berry was a highly ranked recruit who started as a true freshman at UT. McCoy is a Oregon State transfer. Both players played two ways in high school. Eric played quarterback in high school on offense, and McCoy played receiver. Eric was also a Vol legacy as his father played at Tennessee too. McCoy is great, but Eric Berry he is not.
@@oc2108I was about to say the same thing. They play different positions. And McCoy is the first McCoy. Let him be that. I love EB. Probably top 5 in my favorites of all time (I was 10 when Dale Carter was patrolling the field so he will most likely be my number 1 forever, and I am a West TN boy so Al Wilson will also always have a spot there) but let’s not start comparing players to EB, he is a generational talent
Tennessee fan for decades and I have Vol PTSD. I will never ever ever ever bet on Tennessee. BUT.........they do have a championship level Defense. They do have a very good running game. AND IF Nico hits 2 or 3 deep they probably will beat you no matter who you are and that includes Georgia. I just dont bet on it. I do believe Nico gets better and I do think they have a great chance of plateauing at the right time.
Man, having a championship defense and an elite run game still works in today's game. Michigan could barely throw the ball last year and won the title. Tennessee throws the ball better than they did.
Nah... sorry nah. Playoff contenders yeah, championship nah, theyre the third best team in the SEC. People need to stop pretending this Alabama is anything special..... Vandy beat them too, are they national championship contenders?
And this bama team beat Georgia who beat Texas, one of LSU and A&M and going to one loss this weekend, and Bama may beat LSU later and Texas may beat A&M later too. Who in the SEC is actually special this year?
@nashvegas4476 I'm an sec guy all the way and I agree most likely an sec team wins it all but I'm not going to sleep on Oregon or Ohio state when the playoffs start. Depends on which team isn't beat to hell come playoff time. I see a good team or 2 having some injuries or banged up come playoff time.
