I don’t know why but I love that Pete is always so patient with Greg and tries to make it look like his blatant stupidity is not his fault. Pete: Question Greg: incredibly stupid and inappropriate answer Pete: oh I’m sorry buddy, that’s on me. What I meant was... Very wholesome and makes it funnier for some reason🤣

I don't know if that's the case but it's definitely true that changing the joke on the cue cards is a thing they do. Bill Hader said Mulaney would do that every time in the Stefon sketches. That's why he breaks in every one of those.

Ah, the comedic stylings of Sedeikis and Forte. So funny and worthy of an appearance by the deity Tom Hanks. Unlike that other SNL member of that era, the hateful avenger of malevolence that is Hader.
