Caitlin's great court IQ and ability to see the entire court, like a chess grandmaster can see the chessboard, will help her shotmaking. Her pinpoint passing is getting her teammates to hustle down the court and get open more, knowing that the reward will come when Caitlin hits them with the pass. As her teammates score more, opponents can't double team and triple team her. If she gets any opening she can let fly. It's win/win/win. CC/teammates/team will win. Caitlin is such a smart, generous team leader. Her teammates are realizing that CC is giving up the opportunity to take a shot, to set up her teammates to go for it.
She'll get 3rd realistically. She is not quite there. CC is probably the 3rd best player behind a couple of players from the lynxes and liberty. Next year, CC should win her first MVP. She is freaking amazing!
She’s currently the MVP. What I mean is if she played all year as she has been playing since right before the break through now, I’d give her the MVP. You can’t just ignore the first half when she was pretty inconsistent. I’ll be surprised if she isn’t the odds on favorite to win it next year. I predict she’ll get Michael Jordoned as her career progresses. The voters got voter fatigue and occasionally gave it to other guys even though he probably should have won it around 10 times.

i agree caitlin is a top 3 player right now in the league, yes she needs to clean up about half of her turnovers, the ones that are complete brain lapses, i dont mind her turnovers where shes trying to make a tough window pass cause her aggressiveness is important. also her defense could be slightly better, shes never gonna be crazy on defense cause her offensive load is so high while playing 40 min at an exhaustingly high pace, alot of people forget that part when talking about her defense. if she gave crazy effort on defense theres no shot she can play 40 min and shoulder the offensive load that team needs. if she had a solid backup pg she could play 32 to 35 min and play better defense but im not worried bout any of that. the T/O will come down and im afraid for the rest of the league next year when shes even more settled in. thanks for the post. .
Actually, once her level of play makes discussions about her abilities impossible to debate, her detractors will change the topic to her team's failures unless she wins a chip. And even then the dwindling remaining few will gripe that she hasn't won two. This has always been the formula.
Haters will gonna attack her pesonality now since they can't say anything about her skill sets any longer because she has already exceeded expectations.

You know what’s crazy… I was watching a reacting to the last Fever vs Sky game and the guy I was watching is some who reacts to NBA games and before the game started he said “before we get started I just want to say that I truly don’t get the _sheer_ amount of hate… the OVERWHELMING amount of hate that I’m constantly seeing towards _Angel Reese”_ then he went a 1-2 minute long tangent on how much hatred he sees towards her. It thought me off cause I was fully expecting him to say CC there, not Reese but whatever I move on. Then after finishing the video though, I went to read the comments and I saw him replying to some comment mentioning the levels of hate CC I’d getting and I couldn’t believe my eyes as I read him saying he hasn’t been seeing CC get _any_ hate and that he has no idea what people are talking about… that at most he’s seen opposing players fouling her but if anything, that’s something she should be taking as respect!!!! I getting just as shocked once again at the amount of absolute delusion as I retell it right now. lmao
You watch her games, and you know she's changing the game because the camera operators can't keep up with her. It seems like several times a game, the camera goes to a close up on whoever on the opposing team just scored, and then you see the camera freaking out to keep up with an instantaneous cross court pass, or a full sprint and drive to the basket, or a mortar shot from near mid court. The WNBA must be used to being much more mundane.
I have been an NBA fan since Jerry West. The Magic & Kareem thru the 80's under Pat Riley. Loved the late Chick Hearn who taught me the nuances of the game. Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James,Michael Jordan & Steph Curry. I am 68 Years old and Just started watching March Madness 2 years ago and Caitlin Clark last year. Me along with all the CC fans recognize greatness. Anyone who isn't a fan is blind to this generational talent. As you said, she will only get better. I have seen many games this year and no one in the league has her Basketball skills and IQ. What other player this year has made and broken as many records as CC in her Rookie Year? Rookie of the Year? Absolutely. MVP? Absolutely. CC has taken a cellar team to 6th place in the playoffs. Aja Wilson does not impact her team like CC. Aces record is worse than last year. 80 percent of Aja;s points are from inside the paint. CC's 3 pointers average 28 feet from the basket. No other player had the pressure CC has had with the constant double teaming every game. Aja is surrounded with All Stars while CC is surrounded with rag tag players. Caitlin Clark is the "Most Feared Player in the WNBA". With the record for breaking records and handling all the defense played on her, she is deservedly the MVP as well as the Rookie of the year. I appreciate your take on the Greatness that is Caitlin Clark.

Sorry wrong comparison you have, Lebron is great but he's not MJ, he quits when they lose, MJ do not. CC is MJ of WNBA, they have the same aura that draws people, very competitive, no drama, no politics, do not claim they are great like Lebron did calling himself goat, he's not. Clark is not only popular in US but around the world, she's ROY, MVP, she brought the womens basketball to every part of the world like MJ.
I think it's because since childhood she's always been offensive minded. I also think she doesn't have the stamina to play defense energetically like Lexie Hull or Kelsey Mitchell. Thirdly, she doesn't seem to want to put in the effort to learn how to play tighter, better defense. I think she has the potential to learn, but not the desire.
Abysmal? I don’t think so! She’s not TALL and to be a top defender, height makes a huge difference. She’s not as good as others, but they are not as good as her at shooting and assists. No player in any league shines at everything. That’s just the way it is, but calling her defence ABYSMAL is just silly. Could she be better? Of course! Every player in every team sport can be better at their weak points and CC can certainly improve, but she’s produced more points, both personally and in assists, than any other player. That makes her the best. Collier and Wilson aren’t producing as many points for their teams as she is overall.
