New subscriber here. Really enjoying the videos! I’ve been researching espresso machines for about two months now, and you have the same setup that I decided to get. Very nice!
I like this video and yes keep it in centigrade I can’t think in non metric measures I don’t know why other countries have not updated themselves. I just bought this machine and grinder.. forget all those brands charging twice the price, this is the best… it has one solenoid ✅
I had my synchronika for about a year, and its a fantastic machine, it took me about 8 months to make my decision whether to buy it and I made the right decision. Nice video
Thanks for your comment Carlos, much appreciated! I’ve spent close to 200 hours watching RU-vid reviews of all the possible machines available and this one by far is the best one on the market. Enjoy it in good health and don’t forget to share, subscribe and like!
Did you look at or consider the Lelit Bianca when considering which machine to buy? If so, what made you chose this machine over the Lelit Bianca or the Bezzera ?
Thanks for the kind words! I chose this machine since it’s big enough to feel it’s a serious thing and not a toy. The others are just smaller and feel similar to the Nespresso machines… they’re all top quality I wouldn’t have anything bad to say on the other ECM products
good morning and thank you for this informative video. What made you choose the ecm synchkronika over the Profitec pro 700 ? I do like the stem valves over the rotary valve and what do you think about the Rocket R cinquantotto? i know they are all around the same price point?
I preferred the ECM as the inside engineering is a lot more reliable and less of a mess. You can rely on the Germans to put something that last if nothing else. The lift valves are better than rotary ones for functional reasons. Enjoy whatever you’re going for!
How can anyone not love this video! Fantastic video and I love and share your passion. Hoping to purchase the same machine along with a niche zero. Subscribed!
A lot of people have issues with Single shots because the baskets are usually oddly shaped, more shallow with angled sides. Harder to pull a good shot with supposedly, I don't think I've ever tried actually. I used to be a light weight now I can do 2 double-shots a day no problem, my max was probably 4 double-shots :D
Elliot...I live in Florida, USA. Can you suggest how I can buy your coffee brand please! Caffé Diemme . I have researched it and can’t find anywhere in the USA buy and have shipped to me🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Been buying LavAZza ... saving for Synchronika 🥰 P.S. I “JUST” found you n subscribed. You are so good and informative and entertaining and show us every little something we need to know and see 😃. I appreciate that. I live in a small senior apartment with 24” X 24”countertop next to the sink... I think the Synchronika will sit fine there by itself -whole latte love told me to buy furniture movers and stick on the bottom feet to slide it out and fill with water. (Or I can use your 38” inch hose trick). Keep the videos coming I love you!!!❤️
Regarding the italian blend I’m using it’s something I’ve found in London and kept on buying it. Now it seems out of stock as well so I’m going for even more bespoke with Harrods roasting especially for cappuccinos... I’ll make a special video for that soon as well
Hi, thanks for the wonderful video, very passionate. It seems that the water reservoir is open to the air. Is there a cover inside to keep bugs from going down through the holes into the water?
Good point regarding the water tank, as it is not actually sealed just covered by the stainless steel lid (bizarre isn’t it?) As such you may find fine dust creeping in over time as well as water not being kept fresh for more than 2-3 days. My suggestion is to fill it 1L at a time and with normal consumption of one coffee a day (bearing in mind it takes two runs with the ground coffee just to get the machine to function perfectly) you will consume it within a couple of days so it should be fine. It sounds like a good excuse for another video discussing the water tank which I will undertake soon! Stay tuned and don’t forget to subscribe ❤️
@@mannsquest9953 Thanks for the quick reply. However I like the Synchronika, if the tank is not sealed, I'll just have to pass it. Interesting, having done some researches, it seems that most prosumer machines don't have their water tanks sealed. So odd, talking about quality but lacking the most basic staffs. Anyway, looking for your water tank video. Cheers!
I can honestly say, following over 100 hours of online search and RU-vid videos that this machine is truly the best one I’ve ever seen. It ha the presence that smaller machines don’t posses (which always feels too much of a toy rather than a serious machine) and being German build I can assure you it’s the best! If you change the water every 2-3 days you’ll have absolutely no issues at all with taste or otherwise. And I’m pretty sure it’s for a reason perhaps to avoid mould or damp accumulation if the tank was sealed....
hello, I loved your video, I'm thinking of buying ECM SYNCHRONIKA, it looks so sturdy, it looks like the Ferrari of coffee machine, una vera machina. Do you think it was worth the investment? Thanks
Elvis Dourado totally and without a doubt. I’ve seen the Rocket and even the smaller Classika or Casa are just too small and still feel too “amateurs” only the dual boiler has the right presence in a kitchen even a small one! Feel free to request any further videos I’m happy to oblige 👍
What a fabulous enthusiastic man , makes a change for someone non professional reviewing this lovely machine, I've subscribed solely because he's so friendly , feel I know him already ....
This seems like the best machine you can get before reaching to twice as expensive La Marzocco. All depends on how many customers you intend to work with but this machine is brilliant
Enjoy the journey. Considering the options will make your decision finally a much more worthy one. You’ll be attached to your machine due to that effort. Enjoy the journey!!
Well I withdrew my interest in selling it. The only thing is that sometimes you just want your coffee there and then without the whole show. But I love it now more than ever. The quality of a good coffee is a celebration to your mornings and your taste buds
You’ll have such a wonderful time with it! The flow control is a great invention but after 8 months using the machine in my opinion it’s only relevant to super pros as I’m still going through the paces of getting the perfect shot with the same coffee beans product. Flow control will change very little if the flavour and process hasn’t been perfected yet. And I’ve been spending 1 hour daily at least to get there. I don’t know many with much more free time to spend on perfecting their technique and process. Plus with the Synchronika you can always buy the flow later on as you’re simply replacing the mushroom cup on top. I doubt you’ll ever need it though :) stay tuned 🧡
@@mannsquest9953 OH! Thank you for that reply Elliot... I know for sure I want EMS Synchronika...but I was debating on to spend $200 on the flow control or not .....I doubt if I’d ever use it and like you say, you can always add it later if you want!
Hi Elliot Great video! Not an expert at all but I believe the reason so many people pull double shots is because it's easier to get an even extraction. I know it's wasteful but I've heard many people just throw away half of the double. Looking forward to some more Synchronika content.
Appreciate your support. I hear your explanation and I’ve experienced it at first. It’s all a matter of getting the grind correctly and even a 9 gram shot should be glorious. I’ll come up with another video showing 10 consecutive shots all of the highest quality of crema and taste (hopefully!!) See you soon!
Definitely go with the Synchronica because the size matters as all the other models are significantly smaller which makes you feel like you handling a toy. Also if you drink more than one coffee a day and you value speed you can do more with the big machine
Ordinary cupboard height would do. At my current place the idiots who built the kitchen put the cupboard too low. So... I found a new place. It’s never been a concern for me
haha - not ROCKET-science is a good term when talking espresso machines !! (7:30) congrats for your very nice setup ! ...and thanks for your vids which I find very good info 👍 ☕
PID's are great at what they do but they're not really that intelligent. The machine isn't that electronic besides the PID and boilers, and pump, MOST of the mechanisms are purely mechanical, using water pressure, springs and valves! The E61 group was designed in 1961! It's been tweaked a bit since then but still pretty similar!
@@Gnarlysquirl No, PIDs are better than Thermostat/ pressurestats for sure! I'm not sure why I said that. Maybe at one point I thought he was implying that the PID knows what the group head temperature was but I don't think there's any sensors there. I'm not sure if that's what he meant or just mentioning keeping the group and portafilter hot so you do have the right brew temp.
There is so much disinformation in this video. You lost the fun experience of learning about coffee when you bought a machine with zero quirks and flaws. Stop sniffing coke and making videos.
