Essays, essays, essays! I hear you Luise. Michel de Montaigne sends his regards and sympathy from the infernal side . Your trip to Budapest reminds me of my spring trip to Vienna in 2008, which seems now like so long ago, before I graduated from my boarding school in Hamilton, Ontario. The sights that immediately come to mind: the grand imperial palace; the Archbishop's palace in Salzburg--the erstwhile city of music (if you're into Mozart); the old cobbled stones lining the streets, the clopping sound of horse hoofs knocking against the ground. The distinctive architecture, the city layout, the Hapsburgian history, so grand. My first time in Europe really. I remember too the pizzazz of the high-end fashion scene that makes New York's much touted Fifth Avenue a kindergarten of sorts. As for reading tips, you would do well to discover "Jane Eyre," said to be among the best offerings. I am currently reading "Don Quixote," specifically the John Rutherford translation that preserves the long lines, archaic vocabulary, and heightens the subversive comedy of the narrative. I am enjoying the novel so much, the pages are starting to reflect my commitment. Imagine: paragraph after paragraph of thick highlights beaming in your face like a little sequestered sun. Underline marks coated in red ink. Marginalia, like Stalin talking back to the author. Lovely video! Keep it coming

Very nice and positive video, thank you! Glad you visited Budapest. Before the war, I traveled a lot, including in Budapest. I walked a lot in this city. You have created very stylish and pleasant looks with clothes. I said earlier that you are a very harmonious person! Your book purchases are also interesting. Despite the Russian aggression and the constant bombing of civilians by the Russian army, I try to read. If I remain alive, I will try to read at the first opportunity. I would also like to continue watching your videos. Thanks again!

@@luise_marianne It's strange: I wrote a reply to your question last night about the book I'm reading and what makes me happy, but today my answer doesn't show up. If you didn't get my reply yesterday, let me know and I'll write it again.

@@luise_marianne First of all, I would like to thank you for your answer and kind words! Yesterday I finished Milan Kundera's book "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", and today I am already reading Moliere's plays. I also read Timothy Garton Ash's book "Native Lands" with hiccups. By the way, in one interview he said: "If you want to return your faith to Europe, go to Ukraine." But I read not only European authors, I also discover Ukrainian classics. In particular, I was impressed by the book "Clouds" by Ivan Nechui-Levytskyi - it was written in 1874, but it is still relevant today. If you are interested, I can recommend both old and modern Ukrainian books. Also, if you are interested in modern Ukrainian music, I can also advise you. Even if you don't understand the words, you can enjoy the melody.

Hi, I completely understand the feeling of never being done with the work for uni, I had it similar in my uni as well. I graduated this year and it was such a relief, not having the deadlines constantly in the back of your head. But work stuff also has its challenges I guess... Btw, the topic of German minority in Eastern European countries is very interesting, especially the part about people's lives. Could you share it somewhere if you write it? I only know the Czech perspective on that and I can see that especially certain writers raised awareness about those unfortunate events and I think it's slowly becoming less taboo topic and we are trying to find ways to reconciliation... I would love to read / hear your perspective on that!
