Essence and Blended runes - a simple guide 

Only abandoned city as far as I know. But most likely the big bosses in Senillinea as well. On Mercury there are at least 5 hackers who are killing those bosses solo all the time, and soloing AC under 2 minutes. And yet, penetration rune is still rare.

Ahoy! Well, I haven't played either of them excessively, so.... just guessing here. You'll probably want the opinion of people who have at least played 1 of them as their main characters. FG has range, decent AOE and in MC wars can hit medium guards through gates. Nice single target damage, but penalty when hitting more than 1 enemy (with basically every skill and BM except lance combo). Survival short skill makes you invincible against bosses or few targets, but you're still susceptible to silence/suppression, and has a very long cooltime. Still, FG is the only character I know of that has a reliable BM3 synergy that increases magic attack, has 12% crit rate bonus from passive skills (so needs 1 less 8rate item), and an awesome debuff with long duration for party dungeons. Movement speed bonus in BM3 can help in some dungeons. GL is melee, so only a few medium range combo skills but BMs are close range. No damage penalty for multiple targets either. Survival skill is the same as FG, except much more effective, and you can still use rage shield to give you almost certainly immunity to crowd control effects. Useful in party for shield and party buff + the best party synergy in the game (+30% amp for whole party if used 3 times). Has the highest single-hit damage if you like seeing big numbers. But no critical rate from any source, uses chakrams, which no other class can use so you won't find many pre-made items for you to use, nor crafters for those. And the rest of the general items, like accessories are used by every sword class like you said, so they will be a lot more expensive. That's all I could suddenly think of. Ask around people whose main characters are those for more info/tips!

Ahoy! They increase the same stat, but they can be learned in parallel. So for example you can have both Critical Dmg I and II learned at the same time in 2 different essence rune slots and receive the stat boost from both of them. Typically level II runes grant better stats as well.

Yes, that's the main reason. I had the 3 basic runes (first 3 in my blended runes tab), and didn't care much about blended runes until the bingo event arrived to EU. Then I found a few more in those blended rune boxes, and I had 2 rune slot extenders from the previous event (Halloween hunting), so I decided to learn those. But I've got a level 2 rune of the one for magic amp, just waiting for another event with rune slot extenders.

At that level I think the least of your concerns should be blended runes. They can wait until lvl 190+ with full +15 gear :) Or if you're a war fan go for pvp runes: -def, +attack, +amp

how about for dungeon??

Same ones but the PVE version of them. But really, don't bother until the cheapest improvement to your char is over 2b alz.

Made a new video killing Rota :) It takes tons of attack rate, even more attack rate, and some extra attack rate. Jokes aside, you really do need lots of attack rate and accuracy or you'll end up missing half of your hits, and then some nice damage to be able to counter its regeneration and damage it.

Ahoy! Supposedly every ignore resist works on monsters that have resist stats. If you open up the entrance of a dungeon, you will see a tab listing the bosses in there with their resistances. If you see the stat there, ignoring it works too!

Ahoy! No, add damage adds a falt value to your damage regardless of what skill you use to deal damage.

No, it has no effect on chests or bosses that directly drop the items. Drop rate bonus only affects monsters that don't have 100% chance to drop an item.

I think you mean crafting blended rune? Essence isn't obtained via crafting. Blended rune crafting has a fixed 50% success rate.

Oh I see. That one has 100% success chance. I don't know of anyone who has failed it, but in cabal nothing is certain 😂

Yes, especially in PVP or high dungeons because while you're casting those fatal skills you are immune to down/stun/knockback, and they can't be blocked/evaded. But otherwise, A and B skills and fatal 1 for activating synergies yield better DPS.

Ahoy! Replace magic attack with attack, and magic amp with sword amp. Others are the same. As for farming, you can probably get decent exp in hazardous valley hard mode, or try farming IC1/AoS2 with a partner. I think those might be the best.

Ahoy! That is right, however the example of defense rate was a bad one because that doesn't exist :) But you can learn attack I and attack II at the same time (they need 2 different slots though).

Almost every dungeon which has any mobs above lv120 has certain runes on their loot table. You can see their exact source if you read the rune's item description.

They are dropped in various dungeons. You can buy them from other players through the agent shop.

Replace "magic" with "sword".

Eternal Chaos Arena with other guys and they use oath of sacrifice or do it on your own which takes forever. ECA or spawning Flames in Awakened Lava Hellfire from Eurostia boss

Use the usual ones for sword classes in my opinion.

It definitely is. But depending on the price of it on your server and what kind of gear you currently have, you have to decide if the moment is now, or at another time.

You can craft them at the Core Alchemists in each town, or you can obtain them through events. Bingo is 1 such event in EU currently.

The craft materials are essence runes for the basic blended runes. Check out the alchemist in any town and they'll show you the recipe!

I'm a wizard, so I've got over 1700 MP with my vampiric earrings. That's more than enough to use combo/battle modes even with mana freeze on :)

i'm also a wizard but in mission war i use earring of guard so vamp earrings in pk is a big no no for me.. but still thanks for the vid..

While using defensive earrings I've still got a bit over 1500 MP with force increase, so it's still not a problem unless the FB has mana freeze effector and uses enervation too. Most of the FBs however just unmove me and then kill me with 3 hits so they don't bother with that... or just run away when they see me :)

I don't think that really exists. There was a time when the stun effect on monsters could be extended, but not they are entirely immune to other status effects while there's 1 active on them. So, the best thing I could come up with that's closest to stunlock is blinking back after stunning them, so during the time they are moving towards me after it's over I can stun them again.

Yep, but you could have asked that without caps lock on. Some say you can get crit rate/max rate from any item as long as it has at least 1 slot. There are also scroll cubes for DP.

Since other players don't drop alz when killed... sure. But be ready to delete those runes when you get something better.

When sword classes hit non-crits, the dealt damage has a little spread between a minimum and a maximum amount. That increases the minimum damage. Completely worthless nowadays, since we're talking about like ... 2-300 damage per 10k hits and it only applies to non-crits.
