The essential Chipmixes of 2010 - 2016 have been life changing, i listen to them while running, working, studying, cleaning, and they've been the soundtracks of my life for almost 10 years now. (I can't even count how many times I've listened to them) I could actually tear up at how happy I am at this very moment that this exists. This sounds so freaking fantastic, thank you thank you THANK YOU TOM!!!
It's beautiful words like these that inspire me to keep sharing 🥲 I am so happy you have enjoyed my mixes over the years, thank you so much for listening
It's so special to know that other people around the world are united by the same music. This comment put into words a lived experience that is both unique and shares so many similarities with my own For me, the Chipmixes are a form of escapism and were my daily life when I used to commute to London pre-pandemic. They introduced me to new artists, new sub-genres and ultimately shaped a lot of my music taste in my early 20s. In my 30s now, this hits even harder. Thank you for bringing it back ❤ I hope this isn't a one off, but if it is... What a treat
This is amazing, so great to have a new Essential Chip Mix! awesome selection and some very good tunes. This will keep me going all month! thanks Henry
fun fact: I remember years ago when you played in a gig or smh and your 2 psp were stolen and you made a post on facebook and you were so chill about it. I was like how can he not be mad about it?! Love you stuff dude please don't stop
Blown away to see another essential chip mix come our way. The old ones have been there for me through so many moves, life changes, drives and walks to and from incredible parts of my life. It’s so good to have another.
Thank you, really happy you like the mix! Yes these are PSPs haha. Each one has a custom music app called "Ruckus MOD (v.5)", which plays MP3s and has similar features to a vinyl turntable. While a song is playing I will use the other PSP to cue up the next track with headphones, adjusting time with the shoulder buttons / analog sticks to synchronise both songs. I am using a PSP-1000 (black) and PSP-2000 (white), although they both sound pretty much identical! Ruckus is a homebrew app so the PSPs will need to be hacked to run custom programs, but it's a lot of fun and worth trying out!
