6/8ths of an inch is 3/4" lol or 20mm and buckles are available. I've been rocking this pack for two years with the 8l pouch (bought two for my Mk2 field patch) and I love it. Videos like this make buying kit so much easier. Your enthusiasm is outstanding! 🏴
Yes, I'd say so. I think the height of the compression straps are the same. If anything, it'll give you more room below the tail of you put a jacket or something under there. Stay safe and well buddy
In Germany TT (Tasmanian Tiger) is pretty popular in the outdoor scene, I´ve got the essentialpack too and love it, either for edc or as daypack. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland :D P.S. your german wasn´t that bad ;D
Thank you for the kind words. I didn't really know much about TT and spotted a bag of theirs and loved it. Luckily they are branching out globally and we're happy for me to become an ambassador. They make amazing products and clearly put a lot of thought into them. I should have some more content on soon with my thoughts on the TT Mission pack
Una revisión muy divertida y amena. Tengo la primera MK II essential, de 9 litros, y muy contento con ella, y esta nueva mochila me esta tentando mucho... Like y suscrito
I have older version od TT Essential Pack (Smaller but also 700D cordura made. My wife have even older made from 500D). I am using it with TAD Transporter Tail for at least 6 years now. I had TAD Litespeed V1 which i destroyed with an huge acid leak from car battery :-) That was great pack, better than recent model.
I'd love to try out a TAD gear LiteSpeed. As for TT... The Essential pack is killer. It's the perfect tactical day pack in their range, however I'm interested to see if the TT Modular Day Pack XL knocks it off it's throne this year. I hope you have a great weekend buddy, thanks for watching
@@MoorlanderEDC Now, when i know TAD i have Prometheus Design Werx S.H.A.D.O. Pack 24L on my radar (new company of TAD founder) :-) I think that TT Tac Pack 22 can be also good :-) Cheers
People don’t need to be scared of by the fact that the pack is made in Vietnam, I have many Tasmanian tiger pouches, packs from 15-75l, hip bags, belts and the quality is always right on spot! If I see a German soldier in uniform at the way home with a Tasmanian tiger pack I know he cares for quality.
Hi Buddy. You're 100% correction, however there's still people out there that discount productions when they're made in certain countries. Which is a huge shame as brands like TT have some of the best gear out there, plus are investing in these south east Asian countries to make sure their staff are looked after and have the highest levels of training. These TT Essential packs are amazing wee bags. How was my German? 😉
@@MoorlanderEDC your German was awesome! I felt you really trained. ;) As a tip between us and for all TT lovers you want maybe to check out the organizer panel made for the essential packs. There are sadly no videos about it on RU-vid but it looks quite nice for the price and intended use. www.tacwrk.com/p/tasmanian-tiger-tt-organizer-panel-olive-59651 I wish you every luck in the world mate, your channel and personality are awesome!
Great review man ! Too bad the TAD transporter tail with molle is sold out everywhere . . . UPDATE: Just bought an alternative which requires some handcraft though. The "Condor drop leg platform" also has 5 rows of molle webbing. The width is also identical with six rows of loops. Isn't that cool ? Now I just have to figure out how to connect the four buckles. Any idea ?
Just watching this mate and the Mrs said "I can't believe he can talk for all this time about a little backpack " 🙄 You're wasted on her mate. Think I'm gunna get one of these, cheers 👍
Thanks a lot for that review. I was on the fence about getting that backpack, and since TacWrk are doing an awesome bundle, I'm going to get that one first and the Mission pack for my trips overseas.
You're more than welcome. I'm glad I helped you to make a better decision. Comment back when the pack arrives... I'd love to hear what you think 👍 have a great week and thanks for commenting
@@MoorlanderEDC I definitely will ! Out of curiosity, do you think I could fit a TT Tac 7 or 8 pouch on the side of that pack ? I know there are 4 Molle rings but the overall space seems a little tight, and I need something to put my inox water bottle in.
@@sgtcortez19 you can try the Tac 8 but it'll be a bit lose. The Tac 8 needs 11 rows to be nice and tight. TT do a water bottle holder that'll probably be better suited
I think the modular daypack doesnt fit so good on the back as the essential pack. It doesnt bend at all. Also the shoulder straps are much thicker and it makes them a bit uncomfortable. On the other hand the front pocket is very usefull on the modular. I have the transporter tail and it is quite a mess on the modular. I think is better and more usefull on the essential.. I have them both and i try to find out which one is the best for edc back.
Hi Rusty, yes, I definitely find myself reaching for my Essential over the day pack. I think if I'd never tried the Essential, the Day Pack would be fine. The Essential is still in my opinion one of the best sub 20ltr packs out there 👍
thx for ur vid bro. TT is really awesome i have the TT Raid Pack MK III. But in my opinion is the Helikon Tex Raccoon MKII better as TT MK II. THX and stay healthy bro.
Thanks for the kind words. I have the Racoon MkII on my radar. Once all this lock down is finished I'll get one and test it out. I hope you're managing to stay safe and well too
Glad you like and thanks for watching. The molle plate is made by Triple Aught Designs. This is a UK site and they should deliver to Germany, although you might get a local dealer. Its a perfect fit and comes in a few colours www.heinnie.com/TAD-Gear-transporter-tail have a great weekend
Been a EDCer for years. Forget the bullshit , been there. If your in the Moorlands, get yourself some winter/snow tyres. I go past Cat and Fiddle every day and down the side roads. Never got stuck and that's in a an old VW Polo
Ha ha ha... I with you buddy. I'm there hell or high water, it's this new fangled technology that doesn't like getting wet... Although Thor's Cave at Illam is dry all year round
I have just pushed the button on one of these, in grey based on the information digested from this channel. I hope it meets my extremely high expectations. Am I correct in assuming that the grey essentials packs are invisible to the uk Bigfoot? Thank you. Good content by the way...the vid not the pack...well the pack as well??
Hi Danny. You're more than welcome. You're spot on with the Grey/graphite version is invisible to the UK Bigfoot. It's a very strange phenomenon but it's served me well whilst out on the Moorlands. Please come back when you get yours, I'd love to hear if it does live up to your expectations. In the mean time, have a great week buddy
@@MoorlanderEDC Thank you for your reply. I most definitely will, just one last thing, as you are a worthy ambassador to TT in the uk, I have noticed that the accessories in the grey colour are thin on the ground. Are you aware of any plans to make more in this colour? As a middle aged hipster being coordinated, whilst remaining unseen is important to me. Many thanks. Keep up the good work.
You know what they say "Hipsters are gonna hip" 😀 TT are updating their pouches and accessories however it does look like the grey (which in real life has more of a green look to it) isn't there, however my guess is that's because their new IRR range is very similar to the colour to the grey/graphite/carbon colour. I know they've had a bit of feedback around the grey on the website looks more grey than the slightly greener real life version. www.tasmaniantiger.info/en/product-category/tt-new-products/ The new products section of the German website is the best place to looks.
You're more thank welcome my friend 👍 Bitte schön 👍 this is a great product from Germany for sure. Keep an eye out for my future TT Mission pack testing
If you're enjoying prison time at His Magisties pleasure you might be waiting a while for a pardon from the Queen. Hopefully you can use your time productively and binge watch my content
You're right. It is very green. TT have had a lot of feedback on the colours shown on their website. It looks very grey on their website, however it's definitely a grey'ie green for sure. Hope that helps
Sorry for any inconvenience because i ordered this backpack and it is still otw , planning to get a custom patch like the size of the uk flag patch you shown in the vid =)
The BEST backpakking review I've ever Seen on RU-vid...! Great...I do really like Tasmanian Tiger products👍 As you say, dont worry about Vietnamese fabrication, they are doing very good job as well. 😎 Sorry for my poor english😁!
ha ha ha ha... Never apologise about your English my friend. Your English skills are probably far better than my foreign language skills (especially my German in this video)... Thanks for the feedback on the video too. TT really are great products and hopefully videos like this will help people to see why they are great and over look the negative views people have about south east Asian craftsmanship. Have a great weekend :)
Hi, I have a mission pack I'm currently testing out. It's late now but I can attach it in the next few days and post some images onto my Instagram feed if you like. I'll reply again here once they're up. How about that? Thank for watching as well by the way
@@MoorlanderEDC just made an order... hope it's the same colour... they call it stone grey olive... thanks for the reply and for a good review... Cheers
Oh right, I think we're in different regions 😊 they have different names for the colours. I'd love to hear your thoughts when yours arrives. Have a great week
Hi Nick. The colour in the content here is the Carbon colour. The website image looks the greyest as grey can be, however the real like pack is more like a green colour. It's not as green as OD green, however it's not as grey as the website shows tasmanian-tiger.co.uk/products/tt-essential-pack-l-mk-ii?variant=35842070216859 Hope this helps buddy. Have a cracking weekend
Thank you. I spent a week in your beautiful city last year. Thank you for watching at taking the time to comment. I hope you're staying safe and well 👍
Hi CH. Thanks buddy. Yes this was back in the day when all of my content was made on my smartphone camera. It had these weird auto focus issues every now and again 😊 everything was a bit more low tech back them. Hopefully you'll notice a bit of a mark up in my recent content. Thanks for watching and I hope you're having a great weekend
Think you should re-do this one. Camera keeps going in and out of focus... most distacting! You're missing the point about buying locally made products. Its not about quality, its about keeping people employed. If you always opt for the made in Asia stuff, soon all the manufacturing jobs will pick up and move there. Has already happened to a large extent.
Hi BH77. I'm thinking of making a follow up piece of content. This was back in my early days when I was making content with my mobile phone 😄 I understand your point on moving jobs away. I guess this is an inevitable practice for companies as south east Asian manufacturing gets better and cheaper. This leave the buyer with a choice to buy great value for money like 5.11 tactical or home grown products like Triple Aught Design or London Bridge Trading (just as an example). Thanks for watching and the feedback buddy, I hope you have a great week 👍
I can certainly put in a request to TT here in the UK to see if they'd send me on, although from memory, the only slide they do now is the Modular Sling Pack 20ltr. It's worth an ask 👍
