I just received the OCCRE Essex Kit 4/21/2024. I was so very happy to have found your tutorial for the Essex by accident. Right now I'm in the process of building the Kate Cory whaling ship -- expected completion around this time of 2025. By the way, I have always used white glue for my builds also. I recently discovered Gorilla (white) glue -- it's really great stuff.

question the white glue is it elmers wood glue? also thank you for the tutorial and tips as this gonna be really helpful for when i begin my own essex and then when i do my Constitution.

What do you think about putting the sub floor in position (but no glue) before gluing the formers to better hold the formers in the right position?

It's up to you. If it's more comfortable for you so just go with it. As I told many times be diferente 😉 and creative. I'm just showing my way, it doesn't mean that this way is the only one 😉
