I’m 44. If I could only purchase one device, what should that be?! I want to lift and tone my facial muscles, reduce fine lines and fade sun spots! Thank you!!
Love the Ziip! Not a fan of the Newa. No time for the Myolift Mini . Maybe someday. Still love the Nuface Mini. It's so just so easy and quick for the busy person.
Hi Katie, new to the channel, and wanted to ask how do you know all other devices of microcurrent except the myolift mini don’t use real microcurrent? Can you explain that a little bit more? And also where can I look at that information? Because all the ones you mentioned say they use microcurrent and even say how many micro amps they use So I’m really confused 😕
I'm thinking to buy a micro current device ,not sure which to get. Maybe the micro current mini .It's quite expensive tho. This will be my first purchase. of buying one. I know you said the mini is your favorite. Are they built well and last a long time?
@@vee8633 i haven’t used it enough to say … face fitness should work better imo. Like exercise vs massage. Both the best. :) Have you tried face yoga or any face fitness? Also processed sugars are very bad. They are creating wrinkles literally by pulling collagen out of the skin.
@curiouskittycat5977 Hi yes!! I Do face yoga and gua sha And massage.. I love it.. I'm 60 so I don't like to do a lot of exer sizes that will increase creasing.. So i'm choosy with my exercises.. I'm also a big keto diet fan and an Esthetician, so I stay out of the sun and I don't eat sugar lol. But still not seeing improvement with ziip or myolift mini.. The ziip is definitely better. I have used a handheld radio frequency device before and I felt like I was just losing facial fat ... I have had many r f facials in the salon and it Gave me amazing results..
Thank you so much for all your wisdom! I have trouble with insomnia and haven’t worn my contacts in a long time because of dark circles and bags. What would you recommend for this issue. And also if I were to buy just one product which would you recommend. I will be 60 next year. Thank you again.
Just discovered your channel and thoroughly enjoying your insights. I too love skin gadgets. All the Omnilux masks are excellent. I have the face, neck and hand one. Also the Currentbody eye mask and their lip LED. I enjoy them all. I usually don’t LED on my face while wearing my iRestore Helmet for my hair. Have you tried the Theraface by Therabody who makes the excellent percussion gun massagers? It’s pricey but does massage, microcurrent, cleansing, 3 LED lights and optional hot/cold. I enjoy that you can combine treatments. I didn’t like the hot/cold as the hot was much too hot. I find the massage setting relaxing. Had a skull fracture when I was a young kid, and I still get headaches that start where the fracture is. I can see the line of the fracture on my forehead become more prominent when the headache gets bad and the massage eases that. The microcurrent of it is stronger than the Nuface. Had a Newa that stopped working after session 1 and I returned it to the company. Thanks again for your content!
I wish you had a practice near me in Delaware. Anyway I got the myolift mini and used it for about a year and sadly never saw any results or any lifting. I followed the videos from their website to the T. So I stopped using it. I also don’t want botox! I have the deepest 11’s and bunny line that I have angry resting face. I hate it. So I was excited about the Erase setting on the myolift but it did nothing. Maybe I’m just too far gone Very sad !!😢
From one esthetician to another-- EXCELLENT video! Really appreciate your time in doing this. Curiously, have you gotten a hold of the Nira Laser. I have one and am in the process of trying it. Super fast and easy and hopefully helpful for hooded eyes and aging eyes in general. I'm 55 and am after all the hooding help I can get!
I sent mine back. When I used the Nira, it hurt so bad on #1 !! I know I have tougher skin, but daang! That hurt! I watch several videos and fellow RN's who used it on level 3-5, so I started thinking I am a wuss, LoL. Later I started thinking I probably got a faulty machine that was probably stuck on level 10 or something 😂😂. My 55yr old skin can handle a LOT, and most other people see amazing results. I just had to throw in the towel. I could not finished one session. 😳
@@terrim.602 I started on one but moved up fairly quickly. I don’t know that age plays a factor, I’m older than you. But my skin adapted quickly, within 30-45 days if regular 2 times per day use I was at level 5
Such different information given by different estheticians. I've heard that "true microcurrent" is an invented term by myo lift, I've heard that ATP is generated by all micro current by estheticians such as Jane Mann and Christine Byer, and that all micro current educates facial muscles. Also the mesoform pro has different settings as well I'm told that drive product into tissue. Oy. Not criticizing you or your video at all. Just noting the conflicting and contrasting information out there. Thanks for the detail about stretching the tissue when doing microcurrent.
This is all correct. All microcurrent within 175-800 microamps (uA) increases ATP and penetrates product. Anything from 800-1000 creates a plateau effect and then starts decreasing ATP after 1000 microamps (which is the same as 1 milliamp). MyoLift uses the term "true microcurrent" to describe this. I hope this helps clarify.
Love your clear explanation about the gadgets but you’re mistaking about the Foreo Bear. It does in fact have 680 microAmpere! So did you mix up micro and milli? Personally I have great results with the Foreo Bear. People actually think I have had my eyes done but it’s all the Bear and that at the age of sixty. So not just for the younger generation.
@@hanniehoekstra8511same here, I'm in love with my Foreo bear.... I had a NuFace and I find The Bear much better. I researched it quite a bit before buying it. It definitely had true microcurrent, I'm not worried.
Hello, thank you for the video. How about the Tripollar Stop devices. Are you familiar with them? How would you say they compare to the News or Nebulyft? And I think they’ve been studied as well, no? Thank you in advance!
I have the TriPollar Stop X and it’s great! Although I don’t love the additional EMS that comes w it. I also think it’s a gorgeous design however the treatment head is smaller than the nebulyft which is why I chose that over the Tripollar. Still a great device! I have a code w them too: KATIES25 for 25% off 😉
Thanks for your latest video. Very helpful and informative. I have the Myolift mini, Omnilux mask, Tripolar Stop and nebulyft. I’m considering adding ultrasound since I don’t have that modality. I know there’s a lot to consider when purchasing a new device. Is there an at home ultrasound you recommend?? Can I use the Myolift mini in erase mode daily or should it be used every other day? I have some pretty deep lines in my forehead. I’m up to level 2 400. Not seeing any changes yet using twice a week, Monday and Wednesday. I fly every Fri, Sat and Sun. I don’t pack the Myolift in my flight bag. I don’t want to take a chance in damaging it. That said, I only have a n opportunity for I use it twice weekly. I was going my the Philosophy as I would work out my biceps, not working them out every day but every other day or even 2 to 3 times a week. Does that follow suit with the the Myolift mini and training for he muscles in my face?
I've been thinking about picking up my RF again too, it's been gathering dust. Celluma LED and ZIIP have been wonderful for me. One day I will finally take the time to learn the prongs & myolift :) ...I am so with you on the UFO, I always look forward to using it. But the biggest transformational thing for my skin was learned from you over year ago - Herbal Face Food! Cannot thank you enough for introducing me to those serums. ❤❤💫
Hi Dear I am worried on my under eye hollow. I don't want to inject filler treatment for tear trough because of safety. Do you have any recommendation on any beauty devices or even products can help a bit on my case? Looking forward for you reply~
Is it normal to get stinging with microcurrent? I've tried so many devices and even on low settings I am so uncomfortable I stop. I've tried different conductor gels and nothing seems to work. I'm just tired of spending money.
Thanks for this video! I really want Omnilux. You mentioned that you use it in the morning ONLY if you don't use retinol the night before. Is that a requirement not to use it in combo with retinol? Thank you!
I love home gadget videos! I have the ziip halo but can't say microcurrent is making any difference for me. I don't even get the temporary lift everyone sees right after treatment. I hope I didn't waste my money. 😭
I have the Maysama serum and use it with LED.. but I noticed that the Maysama has an oil-based ingredient-- and I had always heard that only water-based serums should be used with LED light therapy. I posted my question about this on the Maysama website and got no response. I also noted that the "study" supporting Maysama enhancing LED therapy results is not a well-designed study-- there are many flaws, and the results are ambiguous at best. I still use the Maysama sometimes, but I am now worried that it is somehow negatively affecting the efficacy of the LED therapy. I am just curious as to your thoughts on this.
Radiant Health Sauna and SaunaMAX Pro6. Two separate home devices for the whole body. Ones an Infrared Sauna and the other is Red Light that can be used while in the sauna.😊
Hi, I have the nuface, the myolift and the Foreo bear. They are all really good but by far the most efficient and easiest to use is the Foreo Bear. This really helps tone the face muscles. I would start there and then if possible I would add in red light therapy. You can get any red lamp really any that emmits 630nm or one that also combines infrared light at 830nm this goes to the deeper levels of the dermis of your skin. I bought a care lamp it's very easy to use and very effective. Lastly if I wanted even more tightening I would get a radio frequency device. Its very effective for tightening the skin. But first the most effective thing you can do is tighten the sagging muscles, the skin with sit much better on you face. I hope this helps if you don't want to put in much effort at first just invest in a decent red-light device, you can use it everyday and it's incredible ❤
i feel my nuface device is better thab the ziip. i was really excited for the ziip. but feel my jowles are worseing (maybe with age ) but meaning its not improving them. yet i always felt useful with the nuface 😢
Not UNhappy but feeling like I’m not using the Newa properly? And that’s saying something bc I have a TON of tools that I don’t have any trouble with (NuFace mini and Touch, both Omnilux masks, Current Body Lip, Droplette, Dr. Pen, etc) I have the cod less and The first device I sent back bc it never turned green no matter how fast/slow I went, now the second one I wait half my treatment time to turn green and never go green on my submental. Also the first few times I used it (after charging more than 12 hours!) it died halfway through my face, multiple times. I’ve watched your vids and others. Am I doing it wrong, or could I have gotten another dud?
So interesting. I really do think duds do happen but I’ll share a few tips in case you’re not already doing this. I stay in one section until it turns green, moving really slow, once it’s green it’s easier for the next section to turn green faster. I also use a decent amount of gel. I find lack of conductivity can slow the heat as well. If you’re already doing that, see if you can exchange it? They’re usually pretty helpful.
Same! Ziip is my all time favourite, I layer treatments for more then an hour, while watching TV. Silver gel is the best for lips - will soothe them straight away Under Founders Favourite. So even if I put other gel all over the face I will always put silver on my lips. All gels are beautiful. I got myolift mini at the same time and alternated it with ziip for about 3 months and then just stopped using myolift - so inconvenient, I feel that I get better results sticking to my ziip, I’m 42 BTW, no Botox no nothing. Also have myolift masks, because I thought I might put them on while doing my infrared sauna blanket, but I always choose to put my dermalax MD above my face. Those are my two go to devices (have also Celluma for 2 years - also great! Gave it to my mom to deal with trauma). I also use gua sha often, and Cups once in a while 😄 all good and clean! BTW maysama brakes me out (serum and mask). Great video!
I love this!!! Thanks for sharing what’s working for you! I love Founders Favorite! I reach for the Ziip most often but nothing beats a MyoLift Erase forehead treatment! I see the difference when I haven’t done it for a while 🙃
I have the Dermalux Flex MD & it’s been amazing for me. I was considering getting the celumapro as well bc it seems easier to travel with . How do they compare in your opinion?
They are both using the same idea. I have both the myolift and the nuface. I would say just pick one that's easy to use and be consistent (or use Both it's no problem) this will work on the muscles of the face helping the skin sit better. But in order to get the best results you will need a separate device to work more specifically to tighten the skin. Radio frequency or Lazer does this. Red-light therapy also helps. The ideal approach would be using nuface/myolift & Red-light & Radio frequency. That's just my humble opinion from a daughter of an esthetician.
So many different devices I don’t have the time in the day to do all that. I’d love to be able to do one thing. I do have a skin typic red light therapy device that I used a lot didn’t really necessary see anything. But of course it’s one of them things that don’t end up using. I love everything you’re doing and I’m actually going to an aesthetician today so maybe I can get some advice there. They are more organic also. Love to go to you but I’m on the other side of the states
Not sure if you are going to see this, since it is an older video. It's a great overview ! On the website Foreo mentions the BEAR 2 uses up to 680 uA of microcurrent. Milliamp is 1000uA, can I assume then that the new Bear 2 uses microamp, not miliamp and thus does not deplete ATP? And I seem to get that Myolift is the most effective, but you top up with Ziip, how can I know how to not overdo it when using both? Do you limit Ziip to the special programs that are not lifting maybe?
I noticed that you do not mention the Timemaster Pro in this video so I assume you no longer use it. I purchased it about three years ago and I found it to be an extremely expensive mistake. when I spend $750 dollars on a device I expect visible results. I used the TMP 2x a week faithfully for over five months. I used it around my lip area, even more frequently. There were no visible results. I stopped using it, and I regret the purchase. I’m wondering how many others out there feel the same way that I do. I don’t expect an answer to this comment, but I have a feeling there are many people out there that feel the same way I do.
hi katie the Tripolllar Stop Classic i've used for years is my fave it visibly tightens and lifts the skin, second is Integra Face System microcurrent with two wands and micro -fusion handset, both take around 30 mins but well worth the time invested I also use a LED mask, Have you tried the Nira Precision Laser, do you only use devices sent to you thanks Jenny
I have a NEWA that I just got but it really takes some time to use it. I just ordered the Zip and I hope I love it as it seems to be easy and quick. There are a lot of things out there so it is really great to know how people not only like them but the job they do perform.
I don’t love combo devices. They never seem to offer the best versions of the modalities included. Lumo is RF and EMS. I don’t love EMS, as I mentioned in this video. The Clareblend is a great little microcurrent device but not as strong as the options I mentioned in this video. BUT I personally have not used either.
Your video is fantastic! As someone who regularly gets Botox and fillers, I prefer to minimize the use of additional devices on my face. While I've tried the OminLux and found it satisfactory, I'm not entirely enamored with it. Currently, I'm seeking recommendations specifically for tightening the neck. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you have to offer. Thank you!
Wow! Okay, 37. I still looked pretty good at 37 but I started using sunscreen and skin care products in my 20's. I'm sure your years of making good choices for your skin is why you look More like late 20s or early 30s. Do people get Botox in their 30s?! Sounds unnecessary to me.
Great information! I have really bad, stubborn melasma ( not hyperpigmentation) and am looking for a device that will allow me to choose red light only as infrared red light ( my understanding) can worsen melasma. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hi Katie, awesome video! I have the ZIIP, the QT, and Nebulyft. Love them all, but need major help lifting the skin that causes marionette lines. I’m 58, so need the maximum help a device can give. Is there a device that really targets that sagging area?
I just moved from Northern California to Portugal and am thinking of having my friend who is visiting me next month bring me an Omnilux Led Mask. Do you know if there is any problem using it with an adapter to plug it in over here in Europe? There are many masks available over here that I have never heard of, and the prospect of researching them all is a bit exhausting!
Katie, your last two videos have been so helpful! So glad you'll be posting more. I have the Mini and this month I've started the initial ever other day routine. I have four children so it's hard to be consistent until I get to maintenance mode but I'm determined. I also have the Nira lazer and ufo and use both daily! I'm considering an led mask or the ziip or QT next.
I’m so glad these videos are helpful! It feels good to be back! I think with the devices you currently have, if you were to add something in I’d suggest LED. This will help firm the skin and improve overall skin health 😉
Do you recommend the serum with the RLT panels as well? I recently bought the Mito pro 300 and use it after cleansing face and no products. Enjoying your channel.
Hi! I have always seen from articles that facial moisturizer is an essential part of the skin prep BEFORE makeup, and that is the only time I use facial moisturizer. I’ve always read to use it before makeup because it smoothes skin’s surface for a more even foundation or concealer application and can even help makeup to stay on longer. I’ve also read that hydrating skin underneath makeup will help skin to look less dull. Applying foundation on dry skin can cause it to look cakey. However, I was just told by an esthetician, “moisturizers don’t hydrate the skin though, so if you’re looking for something to help your dry skin, you need a different product. (I use: face wash, a hydrating serum, sunscreen, and primer before makeup too). You don't need to apply more moisturizer before you do your makeup. Moisturizer is just part of the skincare routine.” I have dry skin but it’s not that dry...I only say that because SOMETIMES my skin feels a smidge tight but that’s it. Anyways, my question for you: Is facial moisturizer necessary to put on before applying makeup? I just thought I’d get a 2nd opinion. Thanks!
I have Foreo Bear and ZIIP microcurrent devices. And my favorite is the Bear !! So easy and quick, my face feels energized afterward. I do not notice more or better benefits with the ZIIP and it takes more time.
I do have a couple of questions since you mentioned light therapy. What are your thoughts on the Light Stim? They have three (the last time that I checked) handheld devices. One is red light, one is red light for pain and then they have a blue light. I've been thinking if getting the red light one for pain. But to me it seems like that one should be effective both for pain and for all of the other things that the other red light therapy device is for. Also since I've read that green LED light helps for pain. And purple is beneficial for melasma. Do you know of any devices that allow you to switch the colors for each specific use? I'm also going to look into getting the Foreo UFO. It's got some good reviews and it's cute. Also have you tried the Shani Darden LED Face Mask or her sculpting wand or have thoughts about either?
I have the LightStim and LOVE IT. I must say you don't/won"t see the full results until 3 months. However, you will see the beautiful results. I"m a huge gadget girl.
@ Emoretta Robinson Please look into the Aduro Mask. I have every popular mask on the market. The Aduro Mask is my number one mask because of all the multi settings and LED light colors it has all in one device. Everything you are looking for this device has it.
@@kymiraneeI know your comment was intended for someone else. But I was wondering if you still like the Aduro facemask. I just went to the website, and am interested in purchasing. Would appreciate any information you have. Thank you in advance.
