It's crazy that the ESTJ video has less than 20 comments, while the INFJ video has over 2000. This alone speaks a lot about both types! (I'm INFJ trying to make things work with an ESTJ 🧡)
How is it going? I’m and ENFJ working things out with an ESTJ. I love his strength so much but we get tangled around his lack of natural empathy. I love and respect him so much though.
The physical touch note is so accurate. I'm an ESTJ. Hugs are HUGE for me when I'm feeling stressed. HUGE! (also making life real hard in the circumstances of quarantine)
Hello! I am Alex, 25 years young, I live in Romania, I work as a software engineer and I am an INTP. I just found your Podcast, and I love it. Keep up the good work! Regarding ESTJ, my boss, she is an ESTJ and she pisses me off .... I ask her how to do certain things once she tells me this, and the next day she tells me something else. And this gets me frustrated. In the end she doesn't care if I did the job 'right' she only cares if I did .... only cares about the outcome. But I want to have the correct data before I am working on it, and this just creates a conflict between us :)))
Very helpful, thank you. I am very results-oriented, which often prevents me from enjoying my hobbies and I will usually see them as another thing I have to accomplish. But this has inspired me to get back into them and not worry so much about results, and instead use my Si to focus on the maintenance, ritual, and process. Perhaps I will find them more relaxing then. 😊
This is a great video ...I am ESTJ and I can relate with what you have said. The challenge I have is slowing down and enjoying the process....thanks for the insight.
my boyfriend is ESTJ and I can confirm that even if I sent him this video he would never watch it. However, it's really useful for me to understand him! Thanks, INFP here. The more I learn about his ESTJ-ness the more I have a real soft spot for him 😊
Im an estj and i watch everything sent to me. Its about what is priority at that moment. I find learning about myself more effective when dealing with others so worth my time (teacher and RN).
I am an ESTJ and my wife of 13 years is an INFP. She really gets me at all levels and is so patient and kind. I really love her so much and although according to some accounts we are not incredibly compatible I don’t think I could be with any other type long term.
I'm an ESTJ. I definitely benefit from having the balance of memory to becoming more effective in performing tasks. The memory aspects allow me to be more open-minded.
That’s what Immeidately stood out to me too. The very first time I found these two lol. “I love how the girl communicates”. I’m curious what your type is if you don’t mine me asking. (INTJ female here )
I am thinking no I am thankful for this post .. I like the metaphors, co pilot memory 10 years old senses.. The touch ... I like to watch about estj when I am with my 3 years old ... How to it let go ? A hot bath? Is it my body holding ancestors stuff on my senses level .. And if Fi inferior is not express. How can it be as a need ?? Walking? Touch by a scene ... Tears in my eyes...
@@sweetbeep Oh right, they're just perfectly sweet little creatures, dominant Te yelling at you isn't an absolute nightmare, and second spot Si keeping track of every little thing you do isn't kinda like living with a Soviet spy. They're just sweet little puppy dogs, kind of like an ISFP. Nothing scary here.
Also, I forgot that humans have to chill and have fun. Im trying to structure my days differently, so I can take my time for hobbies in the evening. It is such basic knowledge but I forgot how it feels, and that life doesn't have to be all work.
@@superdjaction that is interesting...although I have a ISTP son and brother and they are very non-religious, non-spiritual. I think that's because their "Driver" is Ti and their coPilot is Se - logic and hands-on experience is their strength.
As someone who has dated an ESFP who is/was an adamant atheist and happens to have an ISTJ brother who followed my departure from Catholicism, I think it's very relative. The secular world is still very young, so it makes sense that sensors, who tend to favor routine and tradition, would take longer to proportionally open up to secular philosophies, when compared to intuitives, because they tend to see things like religion as a "tried and true" aspect of life. If we had been a secular world currently entering a religious one, I'd equally expect sensors to be proportionally more areligious.
No offense to you, but I don't feel it's practical to be religious. It doesn't jive with my fact system. I dont know of any estj or istj devout folks tbh. Cheers. ~estj-a
I know an ESTJ man who was, in his youth, an Atheist, but later in life studied & reverted to Islam. He found the religion to be the most logical explanation for the meaning of & purpose for life, & he now holds himself & his family very closely to the laws/rules of the belief system, quick to cite the evidence & explain the rationale when outsiders question his lifestyle.
It could be because of an insecure attachment style. If he had inconsistent perceived feelings of of not being able to get his needs or safety met by an early care provider. They have a fawning response in order to get their needs met and they create this emotional hyper attunement to the inconsistent care giver in order to gauge where they are at to get these needs met. This is where empaths come from.
