I came to see if Terry Stuart had included a time stamp list as I was about to write one myself if he hadn't. Happy days, you've beaten me to it. Love your work. Thanks.
that feeling when you spend almost three hours studying a light board instead of studying for the geometry final because its more fun to do lights than shapes. I love tech theater >:)
As someone coming back into the industry having grown up at a time when moving lights had only just been invented, colour scrollers were considered complex and the Strand Patt 23 lamp was still in widespread use, I have a steep learning curve ahead of me. My first lighting 'board' was a Grand Master (albeit at school) and I grew up on the Rank Strand MMS which was (in the 1980s) the standard house board for all main theatres in the UK. This gentleman leads you by the hand, clearly aware of history, and explains everything in a clear, logical and practical sequence. Given that this video is 7 years old (at the time of writing) I am sure he has moved on to greater things but I would like to commend this instructor for his excellent, hands on, approach to learning the Eos. Bravo!
This is so complete, well written, well, narrated, etc.. Is this from the company? It should be. I hope you got well paid; just so professional. Thank you.
Does this lights console have a compatible pc software integration from witch can programs at home ona laptop the lights sessions before show? If does please link to me 🙏
what would happen for example if the first cue with a long duration turns a light up slowly and then finishes, but the second cue, which went off during the wait, has the light off in it?
I'm here because we normally use GrandMa boards but we have a backup ion that gets used every once and a while and it's been so long, I forgot a lot of functions/features 😬
very informative video really helps having started working in local arts centre that does theatre of all sorts and now learning how to use this same board it's great
The GPU goes on these boards, and it costs at least a couple of hundred to have it reballed, in a similar way to that dodgy run of 2011/2012 macbook pros. Not ideal really...
