When Chopin says, "There is no else, I am the only one here." Perfect voice acting, when he gets to "I am the only one here" it sounds like he wants to cry. That moment always gives me chills.
Patrick Seitz did a phenomenal job as Chopin...the way he does the intro to Applaudissement Sonique was just...so intense. You can hear the relent in Chopin's voice. THis game was sooo beautiful and amazing. The music is some of Sakuraba's best and the story was I think akin to the 5 stages in some way. The whole cast is wonderful and Patrick (yai sharing first names) just was on the spot.
I loved this game because of the special attacks, sounds, music and voice acting. They are all PERFECT. If they would have solved some issues with gameplay and storyline, they would have an RPG for the ages. I would buy a sequel if they made one.
Applaudissement Sonique had to be one of the best looking skills in this entire game like omg Also I always will love apocalypse fall thanks to great voice acting
Fugue uses Deus Ex on the first fight and its the same animation as Dark Prescense (you could say DP replaced it in the other fights), not to mention I never got him to say anything, I personaly like Deus better cause of the name, but damn I got tired of dying against him waiting for him to say something lol. Rondo's Grand Venom is an item, not an special, just like Waltz's Harsh Torment, so I didn't include them.
Makes sense considering that English is a European language like French (which is what all the characters should be speaking, if not Flemish), whereas Japanese is an Asian language.
wow I didn't know you could get that extra ending by losing the battle with Frederic... Which is nearly impossible for me as my entire party is insanely powerful.
You will never stop, my relentless advance :D I love Frederic~ ^_^ His best and boss only attack but be one of the longest worded attack's i've ever seen xD And I can never not love Fugue or Waltz, just for the meanness and the laughter =3
It's in both, i think, but he doesn't live, he simply wakes up to realized he just destroyed his dream and everyone on it and more or less dies with regret.
Fugue is badass, makes me wish you could have him in the party. Very awesome skills. Having Johnny Yong Bosch voice him was great, too, but it's strange he'd do it because he wasn't a main...? That's the sad thing. They give little to no backstory on any of the villains.
... damn indeed. There was a "bad" (Well, Fred's alive again) ending. Poor Fred. Poland, his sister, the love of his life... Oh my God. He lost nearly everything. And now...
@ES21007 Actually, he's only "alive" again for a few sparse seconds. If you look REAL close (and in this way, I believe the animation was done wonderfully) you'll see that right before he closes his eyes, the reflection of light within them dulls almost as if to say he was dead before his body failed.
No problem XD me and my friends are making a walk through for this game, some of it is up on youtube but where no where near done, since we have so many projects going at once. But yeah I sort of have to know this stuff so send me a PM if you have any other questions about what they say during there attacks.
Man the combat in this game is so good. Kinda makes me wish there was a more elaborate multiplayer mode, and more playable characters (preferably the agents of Forte, although dolce would make sense, since she's the only other female villain aside from rondo)
They should make a weapons based fighting game out of this. I don't care if they make it a 2D or 3D one, I say make one.(Although I would like it better on a 2D plane) I had an idea a while back when I was reflecting on Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. I thought, maybe the art style and fighting system would work for these characters. Maybe they could use the system from Battle Fantasia. Either way, I think it would be good, underappreciated, but good. What does everyone else think?
I'm sorry to point this out but...you missed one of Waltz' specials. Harsh Torment is one of his most infuriating moves if by some chance you miss the timing to block it.
I think he dies regardless because if you watch the end, it says "Is it ever possible to change fate?", his fate was to die, so he didn't change it IMO.
sometimes i dont really get this game but it seems like almost everything they say, even in battle sometimes have some super deep hard to comprehend meaning. :P
Fireguilt “the petal of the flower, enters the vortex and knows no fear. Imperial spirit!” “If you break a rock the stone is shattered, if you break a person the soul is scattered. Death to both!” Wtf
He's suppost to let everyone live in Eternal Sonata, so he has to die in the real world. So yeah, which one is happier? Letting everyone die and leaving Frederic alone, or being eternally joyful?
I didn't know in the NTSC translation, there is "L'énergie du vent"... I'm French, so I understand :D It means wind energy... And sorry for my English, I don't speak very well... I think you don't understand me :D
Not really. The person who recorded all this footage deliberately ignored the blocking mechanic in the game; if you watch, there's an icon that says "Guard Chance!" If you push the button at the right time, you take much much less damage, but the person who took the footage didn't do that so that you could see the full power. ... also, judging from the health, I think that footage may have been from Encore Mode.
