Ethan Ewing's powerful rail game has him pushing the limits of what true power surfing can look like. A successful 2023 Championship Tour campaign with a victory at the Rip Curl Bells Beach, where his mom, Helen Lambert, won the same event in 1983 as well as four other Finals Day Appearances, two of which were runner-up finishes, allowed him to clinch the WSL Final 5 spot at the Corona Open J-Bay. Will Ethan's world-class rail game achieve a maiden World Title for him at Lower Trestles?
This is what everything has been building towards all season. After 10 events, the World Title will be decided in a one-day, winner-take-all event. The top five men and top five women enter, and after 12 must-see heats, one male and female surfer will rise from Lower Trestles as this year’s World Champions.

Taken old-school importance in how you surf lines, style, flow, and how you use your rails and has taken it to the absolute next level instead of trying to push airs to the next level. This is power and flow surfing to the highest level we’ve ever seen possible on a board.

Much bigger and stronger last few years. Low centre of gravity makes lots of torque and explosiveness. So crisp and classical too,great to watch.

The equivalent of Shaun T in a few ways. A style that seems a bit more advanced than most pros. JJF, Jordy, Felipe, Grif, Italo are all in a similar league of advanced techno surfing

@@surflix4306 He does nothing that wasn't done 20+ years ago, so no, he isn't pushing or progressing anything. Joel Parkinson and many many others surfed exactly like that decades ago. At his level, it is very safe surfing and as a spectator, it's gets boring. You might be too young to recognize that there is zero progression in his surfing.
