@@StopTheLiess obviously it wasn't a big kingdom it didn't control all of Ethiopia, but it originated in tigray Ethiopia, it was an agricultural kingdom then to get access to sea it conquered Eritrea and built its capital in Axum Ethiopia. It's successors were Zagwe in Amhara,then the Ethiopian empire followed.

@Queen_Of_Sheba4411 You can't connect the north and south history as Ethiopian. They just became one in 1887 by force. Both have very different histories in every aspect.

They have different culture and ethnicitys, people have been migrating and controlling lands before there was anything called border. I don't see why Ethiopia is the only country exempt of this. At the end of the day, one thing that we cannot deny is people from different culture have interbreed with eachother. So Every story is something that we should be proud of. And even though south , west , north and east have different story but our story is going to be one because we have something to share in common and that is being ETHIOPIAN. I know this is big to some people. But it is what it is. Instead of running from the truth we should accept somethings and move on . We can learn somethings from Ruwanda and their civil war

If there are justice, inclusive history, equality, freedom of faith, democracy and secularism, then all tribes in the South, West, and East will feel nationalism like the Northern. Of course, the North will lose exploitation via loss of power to the majority. This scares you a lot. Don't use the "Ethiopia" label to oppress others.
