I appreciate that you made this video on our(Ethiopian) food but one thing you should know about is...in our(Ethiopian) culture it's not allowed to put on a hat while you are eating...it's because you must respect God that put the food on your table and also the food that you gone eat. Finally I suggest you to try our(Ethiopian) Coffee and once again thank you for sharing the video👍🙏🙏👍

Mahder Goraw…thanks for tuning in. I admire Ethiopian culture👍-very unique and authentic. Where I come from one needs to take of hat before God and during player…but can wear hat back immediately after prayer and during meal. I did not know in Ethiopia one needs to remove hat completely when eating. Thanks for sharing this ritual🙏😃

It’s called Injera @Samuel. It’s kinda sour and not sweet at all. But pairs well with side dishes, mostly Doro Wat “Spiced chicken stew”

Oh no you didn’t 😳 you took the whole bone to your mouth 😆 The meat has to be cooked soft that you can easily break into pieces and eat it. That lamb pieces is a combination of stomach tripe intestines and liver... place a piece of the bread/injera on the food you want to eat and lift it up to your mouth avoiding touching the food itself with your fingers and not staining it. The reason why it’s bad to do that in Ethiopia is because food is eaten in communal way from the same plate and will be unhygienic to touch the food back with your saliva covered fingers 🤷🏽‍♀️ in my opinion.
