My wife and i have enjoyed watching you eating our Ethiopian food. When you eat next time, just test one at a time ,do not mix them to enjoy each of the food tests. Thank you for trying our food! we recommend you to travel to Ethiopia . You will enjoy the culture, the food, the weather, the attraction places , the coffee as it is the origin of the coffee and many more ....
Lol backpack! Agelegil....it's like a traditional lunch box to pack & carry when families travel far away in the country side. Sometimes also used to take food when visiting relatives or friends. You can hang it on the wall for decoration as well! Good job, next time ask them about the etiquettes... there are bunch of them...that's why we're able to eat on one plate without getting messy!
Wooowww you did your homework so well. The explanation about everything.. spot on. 👏👏👏 Bravo!!! You already know what you're eating and all the spices. Compliment from Ethiopian
😂😂😂😂 you killed me with the alichasquat😂😂😂😂. It's 'Alicha Siga Wet' which means beef stew but without 'Berbere', the Red chilly in it. You're so hilarious 😆. Just subscribed.
😂😂😂 I was wondering up until today what I was saying the entire time because google clearly failed me. Thank you so much for that, mystery solved LMAO 😂😂😂
its alicha-siga-wot. Meaning light flavoured meat stew (usually non spicy and yellowish/greenish in color). The word alicha applies to veg and non-veg stews.
I love Ethiopian food, great video. I really wish you'd get to do a video with Phil Rosenthal from Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix!! Oh yeah & he created Everybody Loves Raymond. You two react to food the exact same way with the same level of enthusiasm & excitement!
5:35, the guy explaining while the delicious Ethiopian food on display and I was salivating like a dog who has rabies, I was like “I’m taking you to the court of justices for this “ hmm don’t talk too much about the most delicious and organic food, Ethiopian food, just dig into it when it is served otherwise I will dig into it and get the feeling of almost reaching the heaven.
Cracked me up you might be my second foodie ive subscribed too 😂😂😂 should hv more subs get promoting! Oh btw my other foodie and my personal favourite Mark Wein his an OG
The cheese is a little sour too, it have either lemon juice or vinegar. That is how we make it here in the State. Glad you enjoyed the food. P.s The spoon is not made out of ivory, it's made out of cows horn.
I got great joy from this video 😂 I like the reactions after people have tried our food . I guess Allyjesicaout is similar to Alicha- -saga -wot 😅😅good on you for being attentive learning and teaching ive heard of the war story origin of the raw meat but I'm not sure its 100% accurate great video kuku is so chill 👌 😎
Thank you for watching and spelling it out for me! I finally know how to say it properly now 😂😂😂 Ethiopian food is amazing and I can’t wait to eat it again 🙌🏼❤️
I am an Ethiopian, and I love your video. Thanks for letting me know how we started eating raw meat, I didn't know that. For your info, it isn't allowed to eat with two hands and left hand. Thanks for the interesting video.
bruh you should come here to Ethiopia, you will see the variety of food, since Ethiopia got more than 80 nationalities they bring their own cultural food to the table. it would be adventurous believe me................
i am relay happy😁 seeing you enjoying i am Ethiopian girl late me tell you some rolls when you eat Ethiopian food you cant eat from in front of others you can it what is in front of you because of that kuku didn't eat what is in front of you and the next roll is you cant use both of your hands you has to use just your right hand you really need to learn haw to eat with your hand properly anyway i relay have fun watching this video 😂🤣💓
Every thing what you eat, it is not modern time food it is ancient food, enjera it is the first bread in humans history 3000 BC. Every thing what you eat ancient time all kings and Queens used to eat. So you are lucky
Dude thanks for trying Ethiopian dishes. You aint suppose to add spices on the kitfo unless you want it to be hot. FYI it's not oil it's clarrifed butter (Ghee with Ethiopian spices.)
Man u love to eat! It's funny to see u eating that big Gursh with egg in it. And that Mitmeta u put on the Kitfo(we all are shouting as we see this) was suppose to burn u crazy, if it were made at home.Thats why Kuku add more Kitfo on your Gursha. Next time be careful that Mitmeta. Any way u are brave man. God bless u and your family.
What I'm saying is the lady I guess supposedly Ethiopian woman sit next to him she can't even show him how to eat with manner in this kind of culture beautiful Ethiopian food
You did great. Great for a fist timer. You learn fast. ... But Kuku is short of explaining on some things there. ... Ethiopian food has a lot of Rules and Principles /science/ to it. You eat with right hand only ... you don't mess with the stew ... you just pick whatever combination with Injera. Injera made of teff, healthiest gluten free grain! Keep trying ... you'll be a master. :D
Hi SAUCEBEAST the problem is you are trying to call 4 words as one word. 1, Aletcha 2, wat 3, Be 4, Sega Translated (No berbere stew with beef). Just call them one at a time you will be OK.
Mohammed Ibrahim You’re so right, it’s so underrated that it should be a crime! Ethiopian food is loaded with flavors and full of spices, a truly awesome cuisine.
It's better than bread it's make up from the smallest grain called teff loaded with iron plus it's gluten free. I don't know why the injera never comes out thin in the states may be its the water but from Ethiopia, its Razer thin and light weight.
