Wow. This was 7 years ago... I miss these days coming home after school everyday to watch a mindcrack episode from etho or doc or beef and the rest of mindcrackers.
Forgot to say on the previous ep, that your house/base is really coming along nicely at this point, and even though I have seen it on the outside recently from bdubs ep of pranking you, I still have your own eps to watch so I can see what work was put into the inside and what secrets lie within your magical base! :P The use of cyan wool with cyan hardened clay blocks works really well, and the quartz blocks really compliment them both too and add nicely to the overall look/design :)
Ethoˇs such a jerk not using splash healing II to save his friends who are yelling for help. No need to mention trolling´ others with a cactus instead of wiping the bloody wither off. :D I liked that so much.
You guys have went horse hunting so many times before, granted that that was on the old MindCrack world/server, but still it always seems to be so funny when you, bdubs and Genny team up to do horse related stuff haha! Its a shame that your horse from before died though Etho, and I was gutted about Genny losing his donkey :o :( even if he had like 3 more he was pulling along with leads xD You guys should do more 'community' events, because that Wither boss fight was pretty epic too!
Etho, to get a horse out of a ravine, just waterbucket climb to the surface, leave the water falling from the top all the way down, leash the horse and swim up (: He will just hang on the way until he can land. It's kinda clumsy, but far quicker than digging a stairwell. Hope you read this (:

You're right "damn" is on many TV shows, but they typically do not put "God" in front of it. Again, I am not asking others not to use the language, I just have never had to worry about it in Etho's videos. I'll screen from now on. I guess I always assumed he was editing it out since the videos were always so clean.. and his language is always so clean.
Depends. It's apparently extremely unlikely to impossible to get higher stats than either parent, but I've been able to raise the average stats-- by, say, breeding an otherwise poor/okay horse with 1 great stat, to an all-around really good horse. Whether a given stat ends up worse or equal/improved seems to be random at each breeding. If the goal is something like 'I want a black horse that's pretty fast' you should be able to accomplish that to some extent.
With that back wall, those two kind of "random" designs as you called them, something cool you could do is snake a little "E" into the one on the left. The right design alright has a little "C" in it, and it'd be a really cool, but really subtle, "E.C." for EthoCorp snuck into the design along the back wall.
For Minecraft fans who only have access to Minecraft PE, Survivalcraft has horses and caves (it's similar to Minecraft PC version, but there's no spiders/creepers/zombies...but bears and wolves will attack. Being a parent doesn't mean shielding your child from all the "bad" things in the world. It means educating them and making sure they understand what they mean. There are a lot of "bad" things in this world, no matter how much you try to "protect" your children, sooner or later they will still have to deal with them. But if they encounter these things while you are there, then you have the chance to teach them what they mean. This is the responsibility of being a good parent.
Tech build idea for you-timed speedtrap for horse gallop testing. Maybe trip wires, a red stone counter/clock. With speed readout (lights for seconds taken over fixed distance)
In the video, the team speaks of future plans to mate the high-jumper horse with the sprinter horse. This should be a relatively fruitless exercise, according to the wiki: "Finding a horse with high stats is completely random, so far through early tests, breeding is not an effective method of finding a strong horse because they don't take much from their parents. The best method seems to just be to try and compare the horses you see."
I seem to have kicked off an unintended debate about "Bad" language... I was simply saying that in the past, I was impressed that there wasn't any cursing in Etho's videos. Allowed me to let young children (4 and 6) watch without monitoring. It isn't his responsability to ensure my kids don't hear this language... which is why I was so impressed. I just assumed, that since the videos were always so clean, they he edited the langauge out. I'll just be more careful. Keep up the good work Etho!

Gread idea. Our kids watch maybe an hour of TV a week. Maybe another hour of Etho... so I don't feel I am over exposing them. I don't expect Etho to do it... I just always assumed he was. His videos have always been so clean. I'll just screen them first to be sure.
I agree with this. I don't hold Etho responsible. In fact, maybe I have always given him too much credit. I assumed that because his videos were so clean... even the mindcrack videos... that he was editing the language out. That probably isn't the case. and as you say, my 6 yo isn't his target audience. I just liked having the peace of mind that I could let my daughter watch the video with me and not worry about it. A video with no cursing is ok for everyone. Even my sheltered 6yo.
I agree. I let them watch it with me. But I have always been able to assume that I didn't have to worry Etho's videos... because he is always so good about not including anything I don't want my kids to hear... so I wouldn't screen it first. I'll just do that now.
To me, parenting is a combination of protecting AND teaching your kids. Either without the other is not enough. Limiting my kids exposure to words or phrases that are offensive to others is protection... helping them understand how those words can hurt others is teaching. I don't see any reason to limit myself to ONLY teaching.
Kids are of course going to hear bad words, no question. You will have to be ok with it and hope they don't start themselves. What I am saying is that at a young age you can teach them right and wrong and still not expose them to really bad words like f*** etc. I agree with what you are saying. I just think that it isn't good to let young kids hear bad words. Your thoughts WILL become your actions.
Its ok to let them hear one or two slightly bad words, work your way from there kinda but make sure they know right and wrong and make sure they have your trust first.
I wouldn't use it front of child either. They do allow it on national television just some television stations edit or bleep it out. He can't edit every curse out without hindering the video entertaining. He does do his best to do so and only ever says "damn" and only once in his early videos, I believe, he said "kickass" in an excited exclamation.
Don't let the horse die before you get a chance to breed him with Bdubs horse a couple of times. Then if your two horses die you can always have back ups ready.
hey Etho i have followed you from the very beginning. i have seen almost all of you videos and you are one of my favorite you-tubers. just a thought about EthoCorp... You should add a creeper face to it. it has been a while since you have made one. i know you used the dyed clay and the quartz and the cyan wool. but to make the face stand out you could possible do it with your favorite color wool... Green! Again just an idea :) hope you like it. and has General Spaz done any plotting lately?
I really think that Jeb should add some stat bars on the horse inventory screen, one for speed, one for health and one for jump height. would make things much easier
in your horse drive-thru you should also use splash potions of invisibility i think that would be so cool to have people like hovering in mid air but really they are on a horse please please consider this and put it in your next episode
