Seth the only problem is that it's not immersive. You will need to enter the other shulker box, and when you have a lot of menus, it can be a little annoying. But having shulker boxes store the menu and it pulls into a chest can save time and space

evandarkfire Yeah, it would be annoying to keep getting kicked out and needing to right click again. Making it run on Shulker boxes "under the hood" but only having the player interact with a stationary chest certainly would keep it nicer. Although, another problem with Shulker boxes for storing the menu is that it is only the size of one chest, although he still has that problem anyway now due to the minecart chest.

+evandarkfire yeah i agree, that is true. but the main problem with these contraptions is utility. it is the reason why the Nexus and the Pixel barely got used: they are too slow. you are better off doing it manually. the menu is definitly a convenient thing to have, and i rather have that fast than fancy :P +monkeymacman the rightclick wouldnt be a problem really. the whole system is used with your mouse anyways. it is not like you have to use both hands to start typing for a search like in NEI. The idea with the shulker box delivery and empting it into the chest with like 27 hopper minecarts for instant transfer would be cool. But then again, you probably wont have the nicely structured order for your items. If he delivers shulker boxes he could just send two instead of one to fill up a double chest :P edit: nvm, if the shulker box breaks it would get sucked up and put into the chest. not ideal and annoying to build around.

I think that Etho could just as easily speed up his menus by using hopper minecarts underneath the chest he has. That way you wouldn't have to access a new inventory, and the system would be a lot faster. The one problem with that is of course that all the items will get shuffled, whereas there is no such issue if Etho were to use shulker boxes.

betterthanboss But I don't think hopper minecarts can put items into an inventory, so I don't see the point if he's putting it in a Minecart chest (or shulker box)

Also, Project Pokemon required him to get them from the wild and not through breeding.

D.N.A.35 Gaming, it requires true villagers, not bred ones. As Etho's world is from a much earlier version of minecraft, it is extremely difficult to find an old village that has any villagers left. The chunks he loaded in the old version probably don't have any villages(or the certain villager) that Etho would need. As such, unfortunately project Pokémon is, and will always be incomplete.

old comment but i thought i'd let you know that the chunk he has Project pokemon in got corrupted and wouldn't save any more(not sure if he fixed that). he found this out whilst trying to figure out why his blacksmith kept "dying". every time he loaded the world it would reset the chunk back to before it corrupted removing the villager and undoing any changes to blocks in that chunk

this was way before those came out I believe. They come from other games and other places. much more interesting than phones.

Nexus was named first, then when his "Nexus 2" storage room was shown, it was right after Google Pixel's launch, so everyone told him to call it Pixel.

Klffsj Not if he uses the shulker boxes to store the menus but just loads the entire thing into and out of the chest so he can just look in a chest. It would be a lot easier to store menus as single items rather than minecart chests. Although I'm sure if he did want to store menus as minecart chests he could base it off of SethBlings "Redstone Bank" system.

This is a great idea! Not only would it be faster, but I think that would let you preserve the order of menu items in each menu. Liking so that Etho will see this.

say you go to a restaurant and they have a menu with categories, then you have the waiter bring you another menu with the things from that category. wouldnt it be nicer to have the selections in the same menu?

but itemframes only have 8 states and they are a pain to rotate. i you rotate once too fast you have to do a whole round again.
