Ethos 1.5X: No Sounds: Fix Now!

No sounds in Ethos 1.5X is the #1 issue we're seeing now. People want a simple video to follow, and this is it. Sorry, it was recorded in one take on a cell phone. I showed how you first really, really, really should backup your transmitter's model files. Then I showed which folder the sound files were located (audioi) and how I moved the to EN (English) \ US (Unite States) and then I dropped it like it's hot into that folder.
The last step was to go into system/ General and I found the audio folder and switched from "default" to US so that the radio knew where the proper sound files were located.
Sorry for the simplistic cell phone video, but you'll get the point.

Hi Steve, this isn't the only problem with the new update 1.5X, there is also a calibration issue as well! The new update affected all of my trims and slider positions as well. I can only get 50% either positive or negative throws no matter what I try and the really strange thing is that it affected my Tandem X20S and not my backup radio X20. The throttle also was affected, I could not get it to show a linear throw of 100 plus or negative movement! I couldn't fly any of my jets this weekend because of the update! I hope ETHOS Suite will allow me to go back to the 1.4.7 firmware.

Thanks for putting out this video, unfortunately I went through the frustrating process of figuring it out 2 days ago, but hopefully this will help others. Also the new firmware generated a new window called Vars which as far as I can tell impacted some of the settings that used to be in the mixes. Would love for someone to put out a video talking about that.

Steve, When copying/moving my own files to .en/us what details would cause a file/s not to transfer? Spelling? Length of word? They are all .wav files under 5sec in length.

If you have the file with the same name already it may not transfer. Otherwise, all should transfer.

Hello! thank you for your help on your videos. Question i just updated my new red X20s 1.5.2 and follow your video on moving my audio files. all works good created new model and setup SF audio. Now on my Red x20s has no models on it so i wasn't concern on losing anything . On my Blue X20s I have 12 models and mostly Giant Scale Warbirds. My concern is if I up date my radio to 1.5.2 will i still have all my SF audio files or will have to start over. Thank you for time

I've done the move over a few times and so far haven't lost SF audio. You should be fine.

hey steve i have a x20s i have been setting up a new flying wing for the last couple of days and today whem i turned on the radio i had no sound. did not even say welcome to ehtos. my radio is in the must current firmware was working fine yesterday. have any idea i really need those call out for the wing. i have even tried to change volume to other pod. still no sound. main voice 1 is set for US . thank for any help you may have

I have 2 questions to ask first is. How do I get slow up? Slow down to start working again. It worked before 1.5 There is a video showing this not working This mode is so I can have up aileron and up elevator when i use the (SI) button How do I also set up a high and low idle without flight modes? Because I don't have any flight modes Left with a particular airplane. I am building. Thanks for any help. You can give me.
