Thank you for showcasing our new product Resist, Brian! It took us many months and countless iterations to finally narrow down a formula that was durable, jaw droppingly slick and surprisingly easy to use. While making it affordable, water based and contain both our Graphene and Ceramic coating resins. We are looking forward to getting your viewers feedback when they get a chance to try it. If anyone has any questions regarding this product, place them below. We'd be happy to answer them!
@@ethoscarcare T, what are you thinking for the price per gallon? I ordered Ethos Graphene matrix coating and a bunch of stuff recently FYI. Question, in your opinion how does resist compare to Beadmaker in terms of gloss, and slickness?
@@RayNLA graphene oxide is black, true graphene is apparently white, especially in some new iterations of spray coatings. I could ultimately be wrong, but that’s what I’ve been seeing recently.
I COULD'NT "RESIST" JUMPED ON THE 16OZ BOTTLE. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. OTHER COMPANYS NEED TO CATCH UP. ETHOS IN TAKING THESE Graphene Infused Spray TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL.
@@royaltyautodetailing a graphene infused spray qd...they just released their graphene infused kenzo quartz - certified installers only. i have used the f4 renew with top shelf results fyi
@@royaltyautodetailing this is your product then.....its currently being tested....real world...beading is stellar.....testing will highlight durability
Great video. Ethos claims it can be used on matte finish without changing it to a glass. Would you agree? I was wondering if it could be applied to the matte black parts if my truck. I do not want my matte to turn to a satin or gloss.
Thank you for the video in this cold weather. I am excited to see how Resist performs in the real world. Still super cool how they combined solvents into the water based base layer.
Hi Brian, it's time for a comparison ethos, new xtreme solutions graphene and tw graphene, black car, gloss and durability. Id love to see xtreme solutions graphene spray, with polyseal and topper all layered!!!!!!! thanks for the amazing work.
Definitely looks like another good ceramic product. There are just so many of them out there now, that pricing now comes into the picture in a big way because it doesn't take a large paycheck anymore to get all the benefits of good ceramics, smoothness, slickness, water beading or sheeting, hydrophobicity, and something that lasts 6-12 months as long as you use their ceramic maintenance products such as their ceramic wash and Defy to keep all the surface characteristics alive and well otherwise durability takes a big hit. Sounds and looks like a lot of the good products out there and it's good to have another one. Resist is about $1.80 to $2.50 per oz and the industry is running about half of that or less. It is a tough sale for me.
Hey Kyle, don't forget Resist is not just a ceramic product. We incorporated real graphene and ceramic coating resins into this formula (An industry first). You can expect easily 6-12 months of durability in real world situations. We spent many months and countless iterations to make Resist the most versatile option on the market. Slickness, gloss, durability, ease of use and versatility all in one package make it well worth the price of admission. There are definitely always going to be cheaper options available, and as always if for whatever reason you are unhappy with any of our products we stand by them with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Powerful underrated stuff. Ever since I brought my car to a local professional detail and I asked them what stuff they use..well you get the idea. The owner of the detail shop is friends with the creator/founder of Ethos. 👍👍
I wonder if this Ethos product is better than Xtreme solutions or Griots garage products based upon same use specification.🤔🤔🤔 or even surf city garage.
I’ve liked every product I’ve tried so far from Ethos. From your review it looks like Resist will be no exception. Looking forward to applying it to my garage queen.
Used for the 1st time today on a car that was polished last summer, it has Fusso Coat on it and I use BSD as drying aid or rinseless wash most of the time. Resist has added a much warmer glow to the audi meteor grey colour. I will add another coat tomorrow then see how it can put up with road grime and the British weather.
Thought I’d add a quick comment after using these products (Detox & Resist): Shine and slickness = very impressive/excellent; ease of application/removal = very easy; real world durability = fair to good; value for the money = 8/10. Lots of rain/bad weather in my area lately (southeastern USA) and it has pretty well wiped out the beading after approx 2 mo. YMMV. Bottom line... very pleased with shine & ease of application, disappointed with durability.
Pollen will absolutely hammer the beading of whatever I've used so far. I would guess you are dealing with it also seeing as you're in the Southeast. I was hoping Resist would be a little better in regards to durability even with pollen or whatever else gets thrown at it,though. I haven't used my Resist yet. I picked it up for cheap with an Ethos coupon so even if it under-performs I won't be out too much.
I apologize if you've already covered this but I couldn't find a video on it. I can't find anything to use on the plastic trim strips on my truck's running boards that isn't slippery. Any suggestions ?
Great Video Brian, Thanks....Now here is the question that I am dying too see the answer too.... This product -or- Seal n Shine???? Old school vs New School???
morning chris.....the only review he used that rating is with ethos defy.....unless i missed one.....when he uses vehicles as pristine as his disco/vette(s) etc...imho its hard to reach that rating based on the improvments seen. i thought he was going to give nova lustre the top rating...surpprised he didnt. with defy he was impressed with the results on a daily driver with the gloss and protection it left .....even more so the versatility. as he stated at the end he loved the multiple application aspect of defy....be safe and have a good day
@@johnketuroskey6293 oh I absolutely agree with you. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss the video where a product got a "go out and get it now" Because if he gives that rating on a product I must have it.😂🤣
@@user-kp6ld8qg6w yea - ethos defy is the only product so far he has rated that high. the nite i saw that video which was the day after i place a $150 order.....i slept in the garage for 3 nights - she was more than upset...lol
So have a off topic question. I'm a professional detailer but I have a client that has mold on the interior of a 67 camaro on the vinyl seats. I know what I would do if it was any other car but this one is special and worth over 150k any tips on what to use to kill the mold? Thank you and lobe the channel
Awesome video on the toucher test..I was looking at video on the other product called The Last Coat an they did just fine on their test too..I like the resist v last coat.
I doubt you can get it as its a relatively new UK brand, but I would LOVE to see you review the Garage Therapy line! Especially the Three:CS and Two:Sigma.
Hey Brian, great vid as always. Question. Which spray coating has produced the biggest jump on the gloss meter and how big was the jump? Thanks, Steve in AZ.
Yeah. I thought Ethos Defy was pretty impressive. Resist steps it up further. However, per the label, I do get some streaks or shadows on darker panels.
Take it from a drive way warrior.you will not go wrong on ethos products..foam party ceramic soap d3fy,etc.fixin to try their apc...wheel cleaner, not bad.if i had a garage i,d jump on the graphene matrix in a heartbeat.
Brian, Great video. My skills have improved from all the info. you share. I used a rotary polisher exclusively prior to seeing what you can achieve with a DA. Now I use a DA - with fantastic results. I like Beadmaker for the gloss, and slickness but the durability etc. is lacking no news there. In your opinion how does resist compare to Beadmaker in terms of gloss, slickness, and overall. Thanks
@@apexdetail85 Brian, I’m still using Angelwax compounds and perfect polish. Have you moved past Angelwax? Have Sonax and or 3D moved ahead of Angelwax for you? And as for coatings- I am looking for a coating for my wives new car a white Stelvio. Using info. you provided - I placed an order for Artdeshine ceramic metal oxide instead of the Angelwax coating. Can you provide input on my choice?
Great video. Resist in Australian costs $69. I ordered mine from the USA (Thanks amazon). Lets hope it isnt a let down like DEFY was. Brian is this a water based sealant or is it more solvent based like the adams spray coatings and the 303 graphene one?
@@Youknowitbby It's ok. It's grown a bit on me since than. But the gloss levels are not great and it doesn't last as long as I would like. I have my black car polished with car pro essence and it's glowing. And it seems to have dulled it down a touch.
