Today, we'll be reviewing the Thule Coaster XT bike trailer and stroller in blue, part number TH10101803. Thule's patented easy hitch is a secure attachment to your bike from your bike trailer that will still allow a flexible connection. This features a 2-seated passenger area with 2 5-point padded harness restraints. The bike trailer comes with a 2-in-1 weather cover, 1 bug screen, and 1 rain cover. The stroller also comes with the sun shade and tinted windows. The bike trailer comes with a safety flag as well as 20-inch black aluminum wheels.
The Coaster XT fits children 12 months and older as a trailer. The bike trailer fits quick-release and nutted or solid axles and may require a hitch or axle adapter for some of your bikes. Once you reach your destination, your bike trailer easily converts from a trailer to a stroller. We'll start by removing our clip. Then we'll remove our strap and clip here at the ball. We'll then slide our ball out of the socket and let our trailer rest.
Now, we'll take our bar here. We're going to start by removing our D-clip. I'm going to push the bar all the way back until the last hole lines up here. Now we'll replace our pin and D-clip. Now, to put our third wheel down we're going to remove this D-clip here at the front and then remove our wheel. Flip it upside-down and replace it and then replace our D-clip.
This bike trailer/stroller combo is made out of a lightweight sturdy aluminum, and the handlebars adjust to different sizes. We'll just pinch at our 2 points there. We'll then flip it around, pinch once more, and reinsert the handlebars until they click. Our Coaster XT comes equipped with a cargo area and a hand brake. Our sun screen can actually double as a cover for your cargo area. To engage our hand brake, we'll simply pull down.
In the walking stroller position, this fits infants 1 month and older, although we do suggest getting an infant sling. We have those available here at etrailer.com, part number TH20101000. The total weight capacity for passengers is 49 pounds, and the total altogether with cargo is 100 pounds. Our maximum passenger height is 44 inches. Now, our trailer/stroller combo can actually be collapsed to fit into small places like your vehicle's trunk. We've gone ahead and removed our handles and the front wheel. We're going to start by removing our wheels. Simply push in on the center black portion and pull straight out. We'll repeat this process for our other side. Next, we'll collapse our center. We're going to pull out on our red handle and push in on our side. We'll do the same thing here on our other side. Pull out the red knob and start to push. We can then come and collapse the whole thing. Now we can load it into our trunk. Now that we've gone over some features, we'll show you how to get our trailer installed. Now, we've started off by removing our skewer that comes with our bike, and we placed in our new one that comes with our trailer. You also want to make sure that this piece faces so that the ball of our trailer sits towards the back. We'll start by picking up our trailer and sliding our ball into place. With our ball in place all the way towards the back portion, we're going to take our clip. We're going to slide it down through and attach our strap. Now we'll take our strap. We're going to loop it around the bottom and bring it around to this D-link. That's going to complete our review of the Thule Coaster XT bike trailer and stroller in blue, part number TH10101803.
