Headed to the toughest job or your dream vacation spot? We are dedicated to getting you there. We're a group of gearheads, campers, fishermen, off-roaders, cyclists, mechanics, contractors, and landscapers who are here to do whatever it takes to provide expert service and advice to anyone who comes into our shop or visits our website.
We started in 1946 as a small shop, helping our neighbors solve trailer and towing problems either over a counter or lying on our backs under their cars in the parking lot. Our goal is to maintain that same level of personal service on the Internet. In passionate pursuit of this goal, we've grown to become the largest online retailer of trailer hitches. With our expert service & awesome products, we make sure the only thing between you & your destination is the road.

Am I correct in stating that to get the setup show in the video you will need all three part numbers? TH711220: $259 TH710501: $249 TH45087: $149 For a total of $660 for a roof rack? And if so, why do you only link one, coincidentally the cheapest, part?
Nice video as an added tip from experience place the straps on the rack first off the sides and they are easier to walk around each end over the kayak.
Yup I got a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder SV and got the Curt towbar 6000lbs. The bolts did not line up and ended up having to bore out the holes bigger were they connect to the frame of the SUV. 6 bolts- this is BS/ Took me forever to put this thing in.
Ours doesn’t have a pin in the bottom part that hold the threaded rod in the bottom or a spring across the wind handle and can’t seperate the 2 parts of the jack body
Bull collar or collar lock is IMO much safer. The hitch won't come off when going over big bumps. But why no mention of the articulating coupler systems?
I have a hanging rack and didn't know what to do about using it with my mountain bike and my wife's step-through style bike. I saw this and picked up a couple of these things at REI. They work great and are much cheaper than a new rack. Thank you for this.
7 years later I'm here to say this was a very helpful video! I just installed this on my 2005 Sienna and I will say apart from taking off the headlights, I was able to pop the panelling loose with a wide screwdriver and sneak the wire under the panelling without removing the grocery bag hooks & threshhold panel.
Good video, but... I have a 2024 and there were a LOT more connectors and wires attached to the bumper than this video showed. We did it in my garage, and ended up putting some old tires under the bumper and just moved it away enough to get clearance for the new hitch. That allowed us to leave a few things still connected to the bumper. Saved a TON of money on having it installed elsewhere.
Thanks for wasting 2 minutes of my day, I need to know how to WIRE A & PIN TRAILER PLUG (vehicle side). NOT HOW TO REPLACE A 7 PIN PLUG... FIX YOUR VIDEO TITLE AND DISCRIPTION.
Thanks your video, I have a question , my Tacoma 2023 lifted 3.5 on rear do you think that will be fit for the hight from frame to spring like your truck in video ? Thanks
Im trying to help my daughter get situated and we have never ever had a rv or dealing with one. She has to have propane to have hot water and its a external tank. So in theory i only have to replace tank and hook up to the line and it automatically will start to warm? Or are there other things to check? It is a 2006 Rockwood River pull. Older and been out of use a good bit.
Would this pump work as a battery back up for a home sump pump? Even on the worst rainy spells I don't think that I get anywhere near 750 gallons per hour coming into the sump.
When it's not being used, the trailer connector is stored in the cargo area of the vehicle. When it's needed, run the trailer connector out the back and close the rear hatch on it. As long as you avoid the area of the latch, the wire will not be damaged. This arrangement works really well, because the connector is protected from the elements when it isn't being used. www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/CURT/C56370.html www.etrailer.com/instructions.aspx?pn=C56370
The struggle we face when we produce these videos is striking a balance between providing too much information and not enough. We'd rather error on the side of giving too much, knowing that folks can fast forward through the video to find the exact information they need. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/etrailer/e83ZR.html
Thank you for this video, made it on my own to the 2 piece step bar assembly, you made that easier. The instructions are absolutely horrible, they suck! Overly complicated step bar. I replaced a set of Lund stainless, quick were a super easy installation. These R5's better be worth the trouble. I went with black like the ones in your video, thanks again!
This looks like what I need. Is there a model number on my old one somewhere? Can't find it. There is no place to change the color to birch white. Just gives polar white.
I wish you had shown removing an old one and putting in a new one. This looks just like what I'm needing but don't know how to remove the old and put in the new.
