@@rowenacapistrano4243 You need to register for e-travel to come to the Philippines 3 days before your flight. Coming back to the US, you don't need e-trvel.

Thank you Jocelyn for the updates. I shared your video last night to my brother. When he clicked the link i send it went automatically to a link where he was asked to register for etravel. He was charged $72 per passenger. He paid the registration then continued playing the video. That's where he found out that it's free to register. Please advise your viewers about this scam.
As always most infomative. You are by far the most comprehensive. I have one question. If a Dual Citizen has both a Foreign and Philppines Passport and registers entry to the Philippines with the Philippines Passort do they need to register again when departing back to their country of origin? If so which Passport?
If you use/present PH passport when entering PH, you need to present the PH passport again when exiting PH. As such, you will need to register for departure.
e-Travel is only for arrival. And I have news for you: they don't ask for it nor do they enforce it. I arrived over a month ago and the immigration officer nor anyone asked for it. Also, if you're a dual citizen you don't need to present both passports upon arrival in the Philippines. Of course you need to bring both passports because the airlines will ask for your US passport when coming back to the states.

I am planning to go home this july with my 2 kids, my 2 kids are dual citizen by birth kase filipino citizen pa ako nung pinanganak ko po sila. hello ate! i have two question I am swiss going back to Manila after 4 years. Said i had a flue and they give a red card so i edited that information to get a green card. Did not want to have a hassle because of a cold. Is it a problem? will they see i changed from red card to green card? Do they have trace of it. Hello and thank you in advance, my son is a dual Australian and Filipino citizen and holds passports for both. On the etravel form it says Filipino passport, and next question citizenship. Can I tick Filipino passport and tick Australian citizen or just do Filipino for both?
Mabuhay, I’m writing this message para malaman nyo ang aming naging experience gamit ang ETravel. Kami po ay US citizen na kaya kame ay US passport holder. Nang mag tra travel na ang asawa ko ‘nong Feb 8 ‘24 papuntang PI, mag che check in na sya sa JFK Airport ng hinanapan sya ng ETravel, tinawagan ako ng asawa ko at tinanong yung etravel, in my surprised nakalimutan ko palang gawin, and at that time hindi nya ako kasama sa airport. Ang sabi ng ANA ( All Nippon Airlines) counter na hindi sya makakapag check in ng wala iyon. Kaya dali dali naming ginawa over the phone at hindi naman alam ng asawa ko kung paano gawin yon. It’s just nerve wracking na dapat gawin iyon bago mag check in. Madam, pwedeng tingnan nyo itong case or can you investigate na hinahanap na agad ang etravel sa check pa lang. Hassle ito lalo sa sa mga Senior Citizen. Thank you po

Since you are now an American citizen that counts as a foreigner you will need a return ticket. Now if you will apply for balikbayan program you do not need a return ticket and can stay in the Philippines for 1 year
If you have an old PH passport or PSA birth certificate, you can avail of balikbayan visa. You will not need a return ticket. Otherwise, you will need to have one before traveling.

When she becomes naturalized US citizen, her PH passport will no longer be valid. She would need to apply for PH dual citizenship if she wants to get a new and valid PH passport.
