Just a tip on headlines, they should look like this... First 30 Characters - Descriptive Word Anchor Word (Loosefit Crewneck T Shirt) to fill out. Then in the tags, it should be the 5 Ws (who what where when why) like Trendy Quote, Bachelor Gift, For Him, cool art, etc... 13 word pair tags = 26 keywords. When you put commas or breaks, you interfere with etsy's indexes which can better match buyer search phrases.

I have received several dishonest 1-star reviews and it’s hurting my store as it’s so difficult to get the majority of buyers to write positive reviews for their purchases.

Hi Abby, Thank you so much for all the great (Free) info you're giving us! I offer digital products in my etsy shop, but unfortunately, there are only so many synonyms to describe wall art print home decor, do you have any ideas on additional tags? Main sections are positivity quotes, definitions, love, and black and white photographs.
Can your quality score improve over time? I started a print shop in 2016 and didn’t start to really push it till 2020. My sales and shop improved but I’m having a hard time getting past this point of achievement. I’m wondering if it’s the quality score of my shop and the age of my shop since I didn’t touch it for the first four years. If that affected my quality score etc.
I had a look at mine after watching this and I was delighted to find my core products are on the first page on Etsy ...yey get me lol, mind you for some of mine I have very little competition and with the quality of my reviews on those products I'm not even bothered about the competition
@@TypeNineStudio yes not everyone bothers but I've had fantastic ones from some of my customers so that definitely helps and the fact I've accidently found a niche for bespoke wooden boxes in the UK
It may boost it a little because the listing would be recently updated, but could have a bigger effect long-term if buyers start responding to the new price.

My problem with long tail keywords when using them for tags is Etsy has a 20 character cutoff which hurts my tags during Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas because I find it very difficult to incorporate the holiday in the tags.

Hi Abby, great video! Thank you. I've heard that etsy has recently changed how they approach tags and that for the most part tags shouldn't be copied from the title. Do you know anything about this change?
I haven't heard from Etsy specifically, but from other experienced sellers. The strategy used to be basically copy+paste the title into the tags but it seems it's not necessary anymore. As long as your most important 1-2 long tail keywords are at the beginning of the title and repeated in tags, it's good.
I've been there, I didn't get many sales at all for 3.5 years until finally something clicked! Keep working at it! I'm doing the shop reviews soon, and sharing some of them to RU-vid 💙
It would work to have both as part of a long tail keyword/tag. So if you put "pink baby onesie" and "infant girl clothes" it would recognize if someone typed "pink infant onesie" or "baby girl clothes" for example. So you don't have to duplicate them like "pink infant onesie" and "pink baby onesie" etc.
I have a question. So one of my listings keeps showing up in searches that are not really related to it. I have had three separate people find it looking for Horror themed book accessories even though my tags and description have absolutely nothing to do with horror. Like I literally have it tagged for romance and women’s fiction themes. Should I make a similar product that is horror themed because I see a demand for it? Like I already have a design in mind but I was planning on making and listing it closer to Halloween because that seems like the better time for it sales-wise. Edit: I should probably add that the reason it might be popping up is because it’s black and there isn’t a lot of other sellers making page holders.
Im a new shop and i currently have no listings. I plan on launching on 1st Jan 2023. Does having an incomplete shop and no listings hurt my quality score? While i get ready for launch?

It sux that Etsy lets people from China sell junk, I saw gemstone bracelets for $1.50 with free postage, I mean how can they even cover the cost of the postage?
