Hey I`m from Germany and know a lot of the stuff you´ve brought. Good selection, I like it. For myself, I would choose the BASHA over a Helikon, not saying Helikon is bad. No! But the BASHA is way more rugged and has more intended uses (stretcher, hammock for example) Cheers!

I loved the intro, tbh. You said you're American and it just made me smile. You weren't all gung ho about it. I am a similar fish, Brother. Do you have any ultralight gear? The proper UL tarps are so darn expensive. I have been into bringing meat and veggies to cook over coals, etc. Also, sleeping bags...omg. A good, warm, yet light is super pricey. I am a new subscriber. You ever hit NJ or Pa?

@highcaliberhq I like the camo you picked for your new tarp. It has a good combination of color, texture and break up. When you said Highlander bivy, I was thinking of the one Slumberjack used to sell. As long as you don't wet your bag, that looks like a lightweight shelter system. I design my own gear and have an idea. I think the right grip fabric sleeve would help with the slippage problem.

@@procaliberhq I'm a camo fanatic and decided to take Krypte fabrics to make my own custom packs, French Press Insulators, gear pouches, and clothing. I'm experimenting with water sealants to find the most durable, yet lightest repellants for tarps like the nice one you have. I will be using them once the weather warms for hammock camping. Then I'll need to design an underquilt.

" A Christmas gift my grandmother got me lol " i picked up one of those mess kits at my local second hand stores which came in its actual od green military case for less then $10 lucky me , havent used it to cook in ... yet .. but i will .. how was / is that tarp , honestly?? And ya could've slid that pad inside that bivi , and yes i checked out the description now im spending money lmao 🤣
