I agree with Shane about the 'Killers' at 147 - Ennis, Spence, Crawford. Therefore, this fight is a win-win for Benn - if he loses people will say he was brave to come up and fight the bigger man. If he wins, there's the possibility of a rematch and big fights at ww, junior mw and mw. I think that Eubank is taking the fight because he wants the payday. It'll be a fight worth millions - that's what turns him on most of all. He calls out Canelo, GGG and Jake Paul cos those are the money fights. He could fight Andrade or Charlo apparently for a title at mw, but I think he loses to both and his career stumbles. Anyhow, I am really looking forward to it - and think the style differences make it potentially a fight of the year.
Talking sense all the top boxing guys are saying the same thing . This is just for the dazn not a good move for Benn. Eubanks is a tough fight for anyone and more so for a small fighter who comes on to his counter punches
Everyone banging on about how it will damage their standing. This is a business deal with the winner potentially bagging 10 mil. When you weigh it up, they nearly all lose one day in their career, so they've just broken it down to black and white, I'm prepared to lose for 4 or 5 mil.
They have their dads advising who know The game and they will get more money for this fight than a undisputed fight at either of their natural weight classes as they wouldn’t be A side good move financially and that’s all it’s about.
So you fight a guy at a catch weight pulling him down in weight. Then you set a hydration clause so he can't hydrate properly. Then you beat him,what dose that actually mean? Agree with you, Gavan. It's very rare you hear this type of analysis. And when you consider how many pundits, experts, analysts had their say on this fight, and didn't mention anything that Shane has said, you wonder about the value of having all the 'experts' on the broadcasts.

Any fighter with benns fighting style that comes towards eubank gets lit up like a xmas tree. Benns aggressive fighting style leaves him open to counters and eubank will capilise on that and land flurry after flurry against benn.
Excellent breakdown by Shane. Benn could win…but I suspect Chris’s chin and strength..and his fighting abilities and skill, will be a bit too much for Conor. I support and really admire both,by the way. Although I think Chris is much more amusing and his mind games are far superior to Conor’s. Just like their respective fathers. Benns profile isn't big enough for a Ugas, Garcia fight, I think Hearn see's the profile factor in this fight also, remember hearn has lots of beefs with Promoters so Thurman wasn't interested etc, so From Eddie's point of view he needs to build Conor quick to Generate the Coin for the Garcia, ugas, Thurman fights
Eubank is at his most dangerous when he is being pressured. He struggles when he has to come forward and chase. If Benn tries to just walk Eubank down he is getting destroyed.
Conor is out of his depth in every way. Shame cos hes so much more likeable than eubank ,and Id love him to win. Eubank ,who has fought some very good fighters, is longer, bigger, faster and hits harder.
The casual fan doesn't care about belts or boxing politics. The fights with a story or some needle or score to settle generate our interest. Belts and rankings are too scripted and the fans are tired of it.

@@Joseph._odk I get you but here is my stance. I think benn is a really good prospect. Really do. I question some of his opponents. In the 147 division you have some real good boxers. Fighting boxers in and around his age will prepare him for when he has to face the top fighters after bud and Spence leave. For me it’s all good building your profile but will the likes of Algieri, van heerden and Eubanks jr at catch weight really help you to level up. Boots and Ortiz are way ahead in every aspect. They young also. I get he doesn’t have experience but I just don’t want him to reach the big fight and not be prepared. This Eubanks fight doesn’t help him in anyway shape or form.

The problem I have with Benn is the fact he hasn't learned the trade has he even won an area belt? I don't think so this will be a schooling for Benn but why wouldn't he fight Eubank Jnr I think the purse is 5 million each Nice work if you can get it! Benn may well come into this fight with a speedy movement game plan. Jab Jab run, jab jab run game plan, how about this tactic? this would throw the cat among the pigeons would it not? frustrate the bigger man for 8 or 9 rounds, jab jab run jab move, move left, move right, Eubank is ponderous, a moving target has always been a problem for Eubank, to beat the bigger man you must have the silky game plan. Eubank has a granite chin like his old man, but he does not have quite the same difficult style as his father had, his father also struggled with boxers, but he was a man who could find a way. So back to the plan, 12 rounds, so round after round frustrate, move, dig if time, if not feint, jab move, jab jab, Benn could do a number on him if this game plan is executed beautifully, if Benn tries to wade into Eubank, then this will be suicide, Benn will get knocked out that is almost a certainty, Eubank can bang, ask Groves. So Benn must!! he must stick to the plan, and think logically this must be the game plan, it simply must? Benn moving like a whippet for 9 rounds, and if the opportunity arises he sets about him in and round, if Eubank misses badly, then bang in comes a dig. If you have a good chin and some good bangers you have a chance against anyone,we have all seen upsets in boxing,Chris Jr did okay against Saunders and groves with not much of a boxing brain or skills at the time,so based on his experience and yes he's been in with three world champions and didn't look to bad gives him that edge,Degale was coming to a end so he does not count.

This one’s too early for Benn IMO. I’ll be rooting for Benn, but Eubank is way more experienced, bigger, arguably faster and has a proven granite chin. Been is an exciting prospect but there are so many question marks.

I'm going with Benn. I get the sense people are overrating Eubank Jr who has a history of falling short and has no interest in taking hard fights for 160lb titles, I think he knows he's on the decline which is why he's so interested in Welterweights and a RU-vidr.
