I'm the guy that suggested the 550lb spring xD... I grabbed a 1/2" socket like that and was bouncing my arms on it after cutting and hammer/wedge to separate a bit and no dice. These friggin things are a menace!

can we fix small dent with a block of wood and hammering on master also or would the rim crack?

I find that the EX30 and Sherman rims are more likely to crack. Small repairs are the only repairs that can be made on these.
