great review!!! this has 4K resolution over the 3K of the S340, so definitely worth the extra $20. Why would anyone benefit from the S340?

This definitely gives the S340 serious competition. It also looks better imo. I guess the S340 is good if you want the dual lens setup, but if that isn't a need, this is a better option for sure. Thanks for watching : )

Thanks for the review . Do you need to connect to the home base for Wifi or can you connect directly to the router ?

You can connect it directly to the router. If you want the option to be able to switch back and forth between WiFi and 4G, do not pair it with the Homebase 3 or the 4G option will no longer be available to choose from.

hi,thanks for the video. if the camera is set up for wifi, and then for some reason wifi signals are lost( for example due to electric failure), does the camera automatically get connected to 4G?

Hey Don, you're right. I just checked Amazon Canada and the eufy Canada site, but it isn't available for sale there, but it shows up for sale on Amazon USA and the US eufy site. I will try to contact eufy next week to ask them when they plan on making it available for the Canadian market.

Will it go straight to a phone without the Homebase 3 or router?

Yep, if you set it up with a 4G SIM card, you will get alerts on your phone without using a router or the HomeBase 3.

@@DemCrumblies would that hold true if set to wifi as well? We spend 6 months on a chunk of land which we would have wifi during that time but when we leave for 6 months the wifi goes with us and it would then be switched to 4G.

@@daveanddianethrowingcautio5707 Yep, as long as you switch it to over to 4G before you leave with your WiFi equipment, it will send alerts to your phone. If the camera is connected to the HomeBase 3 at any point, you will be locked to WiFi only, so it's best to not add it to the HomeBase 3 if you need to switch between 4G and WiFi.
