As alert eufy is a soft system a burglar is not scared of! Burglar can switch the alarm off simply by unplug the homebase power plug. The homebase give a little beep so the burglar know were to find it to switch power off. If the Eufy system manage to give an alert sound this sound is inhouse and this sound (beep) is very low. So no one will hear the alarm sound outside the house! 😳 If you also got the Eufy cameras these give also a very low (soft) beep sound and also only for the time this camer see a person (movement). The mostly give an alert sound only for 5 seconds! More Eufy cameras can not sound the alert together by any alert trigger in the Eufy system and the homebase can not set also the alert sound of the cameras when an alert is triggert. Linking all cameras and homebase(s) so that they sound an alarm together is easy to program and is a missed opportunity from makers the Eufy system. These videos here are paid commercials to promote the Eufy products. You do not need the Eufy alert keyboard because you can also set all these functions (Away/Home/...) through or in your Eufy app on your phone or tablet 😲 If the power is cut by a burglar the Eufy homebase will not work any more. So no alert is given by your Eufy alarm system and because 230V power is off your wifi will not send you any Eufy alert notifications! Alll in all not a good system for scaring away burglars. An external loud alarm / siren device is missing from the Eufy program and present alert possibilities are not flexible or loud enough to scare burglars.
I am still no closer to resolving this with them. They want me to send another video. I’m losing patience and interest, and would have given up a long time ago we’re it not for the fact I have spent £100’s on this. It was working fine. Now it’s not. So frustrating!! 😬
Same here!! Exactly my problem started about a month or so ago and I've had these working great and no pr9blem uo till now. The Eufy base just started always showing red and now will be red and then not show a light color at all yet you can clearly see the thereto cable is on and fine. I'm going to try unplugging, restarting home base, deleting and reinstalling app to my phone. It says my wifi and home bas are on diff wifi networks.. but I don't see how. Like you said, was working just fine no problem, than now they don't want to connect to the home base. It's weird because I have another eufy camera that is working. And I have a door one working but can't add my other 3 when we ha e never had a problem adding them. Anyways, I'm gunna try and hope something works! Like you... this "bricking" thing is becoming a major thing amongst tech companies. Not saying it's definitely the issue here..but it is VERY suspicious considering so many of us had everything operating just fine until all of us recently having the problem. I used to blue light on the base all the time, steady, no problems. I'm determined to fix it. And hope it's something else. But to be honest Eufy cameras are really good and their app is great. We need to fight back as consumers if it's bricking.. Apple is the worst with it. Good luck to you my friend! I hope you can work yours out. They aren't cheap like you say! this happened to me, drove myself crazy. uninstall app, keep resetting homebase, unplug cable, on and off. turns out, my 2g network had a problem, rebooted my modem and it worked.
I have tried two different cords. The one in the video has tags on saying ‘Internet’, so I don’t think the cord is the issue. Thanks for your help though
