Thank you for addressing the question about fingerprint resistance. I have been wondering about the risk of potential fingerprint tracking. I would like to see what you discovered after continued use of the lock. Great video.
Nice video and thank you for taking the time - once issue that would concern me is unlike a normal lock which is basically flat on the outside especially WHAT is to stop someone with a BIG hammer was to hit the top of it and break it from the door to have access to the bolt?
Good question! To that, every lock is made to specific industry security criteria (whatever level of security the maker targets anyway), so all have strengths and weaknesses, and can be penetrated if the person trying to break in is resourceful enough. I think this lock can withstand blows from a big hammer, but as to how many long, I don't know. You could probably also take the same hammer to the door that the lock is installed and probably punch a hole in it 🤔
@@gearupaaron Hi yes I agree but my thought was that most locks are pretty flush /more or less with the door but because this lock is quite "proud" of the door it is easier to hit with a hammer - I would have thought it should be very angled on each side so a hammer would hopefully glance off it when hit. Just my thoughts especially as this is not cheap so could encourage someone someone to break-in. Apologies for raising this but in my previous "life" (totally legal) this design would have been quite obvious when being designed.
Eufy WiFi , Kwikset Halo WiFi and August are all on sale at Costco and I’m having a hard time to decide on which one. I really want a fingerprint access outside and the August doesn’t offer it. What if you don’t have the key and WiFi is down? Would you stay with the Kwikset or the Eufy?
Talked with both Anker and Eufy and there are no ETA plans for the Smart Lock hitting shops in Europe. So far only US, CAN and Australia unfortunately! But I have made up my mind for my new Front door, and getting it from the US...and yeah...pay the Hell in customs and taxes.....but that is the usual SUCK when buying outside the EU. 😡🤬
@@GeKo1966 but in the netherlands, do you also use deadbolt locks on your house doors? I live in sweden and generely scandinavian doors has ASSA type doorlocks which has a totaly different lock system then the traditional deadlock. I also like to have this smartlock but i will have to modify it for the scandinavian doors
@@KennyBarroz True there, and that it why i guess they have not launched in Europe yet, but I will be modifying the door, as one of my friends has a carpenter shop, and will do the modification so it fits. It would be great if Anker/Eufy could make an adapter so it would fit the stock ASSA type out of the box! so @Anker @Eufy make it happen!

I notice that you live in a cold area. Then you recorded this video only in February. Would you think this lock can work normally when it is in winter storms, like the temperature is like -40 with wind shield. Thanks.
