Should put an LED indicator that shows lock state, and link that to your app. When the delivery person clicks open, it sends a notification to you to unlock it remotely. Red when locked and green when unlocked. This way, you don't need a pin code. put a label on the button: click here and wait for green light.
Thanks very much for your infomative presentation! I am considering purchasing the SmartDrop and your video helps very much in my pre-purchase research.
They should make it so after you retrieve the package using the pin, it can be opened by the courier without a pin and then requires pin to be opened the next time so they don't have to look for the pin code on the shipping label.
@@ToolsElectroDIY if you're expecting one package that day, then the first time it's opened it's empty so no pin required. then the next time pin is required. if you're expecting more than one package then the pin will have to be on each package generated by the app.
there is a Master Code. it's a code you use to empty your dropbox. The next time someone open they can press the OPEN button. Once closed they have to use the code if a next carrier show up.
I came here from a TikTok where driver didn’t use it because you have to put a code into it to open it and he just slammed the box on top of it now I see why 😂😂😂
I was interested until I saw that the security was drilling into your concrete. What if you ever want to upgrade or move it for whatever reason? Seems too invasive unless there is another way to prevent it from theft.
B isn't lining up for me. C popped in but B has small holes on top whole C has the big ones. If I flip it then the latch is on the wrong side. Anyone know how to get this damn thing to line up right?
I had my SmartDrop connected to my Homebase 2 and all was fine, got the Homebase 3 to try to connect and it could not. Now I cannot connect it back to the Homebase 2. Wonder what is going on? Eufy support claimed it never worked with a Homebase product. Re-writing history? Trying to make $$ on cloud storage?
Can someone please help me get this setup? I have a Unifi network and setup my network WIFI to only have 2.4 but for the life of me I can't get it to work with my EUFY Base Station S380 HomeBase. How do I setup EUFY SmartDrop to work with my installed SSD 256GB and have it connect to my EUFY Base Station S380 HomeBase? I can't find instruction or I can't get it to work over WIFI and Lan please help! I asked on Amazon the location I got it but the answer I get is (Did you install the app?) I am more educated then that I need a real answer from someone educated on the two devices! I run homeassistant, Alexa, Google home, TrueNas Scale/Core, Windows Hypervisor, ProxMox Hypervisor, and more. I am no noob to the game, If you need screen shoots or error codes please for the life of me help and thanks!
@@ToolsElectroDIY The app keeps saying it was added but never adds, it keeps me creating a new home location but still never adds. It is like they are forcing me to pay for there service but keep in mind I paid $99USD for the S380 HomeBase to avoid the monthly fees. I will be calling them on Monday for the fact that the customer service is only available on the weekdays! Thanks for the reply one love always. If anyone else out there have a solution please feel free to chime in and thanks.
The DropBox is not compatible with HomeBase 3. They were supposed to make it compatible in March of this year but have not heard anything about it actually happening yet.
This product is shit …. Dies in couple days 2-3 days motion is set to 1 and only delivery mode …. People complain when trying to connect to WiFi or home base 3 and I had the same issue won’t even connect to home base
