Jessie being considerate of the time limit and suggesting the tiktock choreography. Try guys producer with more conviction than most parents have in their children: nah he's fast teach him the whole thing
nah i don't think so, it's not one of the try guys producers bc it's not safe for them to go to korea with him. it's probably his younger sister, whitney, or one of jessi's staff.
Lets take a moment to appreciate how strong Eugene is! He was in korea for an urgent family health issue (may his step-father rest in peace) and yet he still manages to keep working and creating amazing content. We love you Eugene!
It was one of those times where after the dance finished + 5 seconds later I suddenly realised my mouth is dry because my jaw DROPPED since I don't know when
Side note, I am so happy that Psy made P Nation. It's still new, but it's easy to see that artists signed with him are allowed to be who they want to be and they're much happier. Jessi, being the excellent judge of character that she is, decided to sign with a label that was brand new, and that makes me trust Psy so much. I will support this company with all my heart so it can grow and take in more artists that want to be treated like humans. Hyuna and Dawn are much better off there than with Cube.
I'm excited to see what P Nation brings next after finding out they signed Hyuna, Dawn and Heize. They're very experienced and talented k-artists, looking forward to see what Psy is upto with his artists.
On Korean shows they keep the image that Jessi isn't eloquent, how she makes funny mistakes with Korean language. I love seeing her able to speak English and talk about deeper topics here. Thank you for doing this collab
GAGAGAGAGAAGAG this is wonderful! PRANK! It is terrible! I looked in the mirror and saw something UNPRETTY: my face. GAGAGAGAG! But I am happy again because I have TWO HOT GIRLFRIENDS and I make cool YT videos with them! Good evening, love and peace, dear kyle
I feel like a lot of men, irrespective of region and culture, do not know how to converse with a strong independent woman. Huge props to Eugene for effortlessly vibing with Jessi.
@@nickangelie Eugene has 1 older & 1 younger sister. He's the middle child. But I think you're right that having 2 sisters probably did contribute to his respect for women 👍
i feel like a big part of that is eugene is comfortable with his innate femininity. alot of guys are intimidate by strong women cause they break the mold and they dont know how to step back and match the energy of a strong woman.
Why is no one discussing this gem of an interaction: Jessi: Are you ready Eugene: I’m ready Jessi: Open your legs Eugene: Excuse me?😅 Jessi: like this *does the move* Eugene: Oh for the dance!
the fact that Jessi said the dancers made her look great just makes me love her more like SHE BE REAL OVER HERE not just taking compliments and that's it
I think it's worse that she claims to "fuck beauty standards" but had a ton of operations and propably works out a lot in the gym to meet these beauty standards. Hypocracy like this reinforces beauty standards!
I hope Eugene does a collab with Hwasa next!! It would be amazing to hear about her journey as well because so many people have judged her for the way she is. I also know that Jessi is pretty close with Hwasa, fingers crossed for this collaboration!
I remember jessi saying "not a lot of people ask me serious questions", so I really love this video because they were talking about things that obviously matters to jessi. 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Can we all appreciate that this video was more than just learning a kpop dance? There's cultural diversity, accepting yourself, finding confidence... This video was uplifting and enriching and I just want to appreciate the Try Guys for making this type of content.
PD: He's a fast learner. J: You think he can do all this?? PD: Eugene is... uh... PD trying to find the words to express how unfairly talented Eugene can be. 😂😂
This is the video I was teasing! 🤩 first try at trying to edit Korean style 🇰🇷🇰🇷 thank you Eugene for letting me edit this video! Awesome dance, love Jessi 😍🔥🔥
I love how she thought she was just gonna teach him the tiktok version because the regular dance would be too hard for him and the producer went, "no, he's fast". Then, "Eugene is, um..." It's been a while since any expert has been really schooled on how gifted Eugene is. LOL when she was talking about one dance move that was so hard for her to master and Eugene NAILED IT.
@@xxxmochibaby no. It runs in my family but we don’t know what it is. For me my joints start hurting from walking around too much, or if I’m cold. It also happens when it’s going to rain
@@xxxmochibaby I’ve found that keeping up with core strength helps significantly. For a while I was doing abs twice a week and it barely hurt when I was doing that.
Jessi: He's sweating so much I feel so bad THIS IS THE CUTEST JESSI IVE SEEN. YALL PEOPLE SHOULD BE SHOWING THIS SIDE OF JESSI MORE TOO IT'S TO FRACKING ADORABLE
Can we take a moment to acknowledge that Eugene was going through something super emotional during his time in Korea and he still made videos? That's really strong. I just want to take a moment to acknowledge that because it feels super important. I am excited for a video but I worry it took away from his time to just exist. My sincere hope is to send so much love and support.
It's heartwarming to know that he took something that he loves (art, performance, cultural appreciation) and really dove right in during a time of emotional stress. He had such a bright smile the whole time learning the routine and it radiated to my soul.😭
I know this must have been a meaningful video for Eugene to create. Both of them are Korean-Americans who grew up forced into different molds that weren't true to them. At some point, they both were like 'f*** it' and became true to themselves. Both of them are such authentic inspirations to other people. And side note -- it annoys me how good at everything Eugene is! I WISH I HAD TALENT!!!
I just wanna say that PSY is the OTP. He's out here helping all the artist that have been wronged and giving them the freedom they deserve. So start taking notes companies. *Cough u stupid three dimensional square cough*
I’m so glad that Eugene and the crew was able to show Jessi in this way, like a humble and funny and confident person, instead of how Unpretty Rapstar portrayed her as the b**ch and as a loud and rude person. They can showcase her real personality, which I think is really cool. Nice job 👍 EDIT: So my comment was a bit unclear, lemme clarify. Jessi is a queen, she has an amazing stage presence and aura with some serious skills not to mention her personality, which is funny, cute, and charismatic. I am in NO way calling her lazy rude, etc. and I don't mean to offend any Korean shows either. It did first come to my attention through UPR, but after watching even more shows (Let's eat dinner together, Show me the money, High school rapper, etc. etc.) I noticed that they weren't directly portraying her badly, but especially in ways they edited/added effects seemed to throw her shade. It has been mentioned in the comments, too. I think the replies here are assuming that I'm foreign, and that was quick. True, I may not have 100% knowledge on Korean pop culture and shows out there, but it's a bit early to be assuming that I'm not Korean? Anyway, hope that clears it up :) Sorry if I've offended you, I think my comment was just worded a bit badly. Have a nice day if you've read this far
The korean shows are doing better at showing her playful/Sweet side. In the Refund Girls project, she's shown in a better light along side other powerful women. I think that's part of the problem; usally she's the most confident and outspoken woman on a show, but in that group, she's one of many and that it's a positive thing.
@@helenabroome3509 it is from Yoo Jaesuk's show How do you play. It is their current project where Jaesuk plays as their producer where she's in a project group alongside Lee Hyori, Uhm Junghwa and Hwasa.
Eugene is such a fast learner😳, but his sass doesn't allow his dance to have a badass chill type of flair, although it might as well just be his choice
Jessi: Yes, it's that kinda vibe Eugene walking around all cocky Also Jessi: Now get your ass back over here! Eugene running back like an asian kid to his mom calling him to do homework (ah, memories....)
I freaking LOVE Jessie. There are so many haters on Instagram saying that she shouldn't be herself in a country like South Korea, but no bitch. Everyone needs to be themselves. She already tried the route of behaving like every other k-pop star but she's not like that. She can't be like that. She can't fit herself into the mold and after years she finally accepted that.
Y'all lets be honest, Jessi is revolutionizing the k-pop industry! She is redefining what a female artist can do and paving the way for other women - PLUS she's always supporting her fellow idols, nothing but love! WE NEED TO SUPPORT AND PROTECT HER AT ALL COSTS
tbh there is not much of paving she doing for idols because they are held to different standards but for Korean Americans she is definitely doing something
@@remberkd9585 You're right. I think Jessi's biggest contribution to Korea through her work is pointing Koreans in the right direction of diversity and inclusion, which they sorely lack as a homogenous society.
@@nickraoyj Yeah she is taking away the stigma against Korean Americans, and getting their back in a society that keep to themselves....in a way she is helping Korean society to be more open to foreigners and half Koreans
Jessi is another legend. Her juniors can thank her later for paving a new and easier pathway for being accepted easily to be authentic in korean culture. What an inspiration. I admire her for standing her ground.
My heart sank when Jessi touched on the "stereotypical bad bitch and loud role or perspective" that some people made her feel obliged to be, when in fact she is so sweet and heartwarming, just as Mamamoo's Solar said: "Jessi is extremely delicate and nice"
to all the people coming back because "she said the n-word" no she didn't. she said "leggo" or "look up" it sounds like it but in what logic would she randomly say it as an ad lib? like? no. and in other parts where they go over the dance she says to go "up" or to look up during that part and it matches the next dance move. I am not excusing her past actions but those are not my place to talk about, she doesn't deserve unnecessary hate however for something she did not do and is so easily debunked, i rest my case.
@@RebeccaKimYokosmirrorOfficial not in this video and eugene would've called her tf out if she did and no ones stupid we know she's said it in the past we're talking about THIS VIDEO.
Yes, so confident that she's had surgery to alter her entire body from head to toe. This is not the type of confidence I would advocate but each to their own. Interesting world we live in...
@@e.b.4379 Bruh we can see you don't know Jessie she IS confident that's a fact ppl made her do all this surgeries and it was because of all the beauty standard that she WASN'T confident but after a while she started to accept the fact that she would never fit in Koreans standards and became confident don't try to talk about her without knowing her past
Not gonna lie, that was pretty wholesome. I've been listening Jessi's music for some years and seeing Eugene even meeting her was really mind blowing at some points!
she’s also encouraging the poc in america too. although people are more accepting here we have so many stereotypes thrown against us so people expect so much and to see jessi breaking a barrier like that in a whole different country is inspiring. I cannot thank her and my favorite idols enough because if i didn’t get into kpop i would’ve became that stereotype. my life would be spiraling downhill especially since i am not accepted as myself in the black community. I am seen as whitewashed because i don’t wanna sit around and let the bad environment cloud my judgment of the world and all the people in it.
