Eugene & Opal | Guide Dog Team 

Eugene Kim and his guide dog, Opal, are volunteers at Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA|TLC). Eugene's life took a dramatic turn when he was diagnosed with Glaucoma, leading to vision loss and the end of his career as a designer. Opal has not only enhanced his mobility but also helped him overcome feelings of shame and uselessness. Through the GDA|TLC program, they formed a strong bond, and Opal has become Eugene's reliable companion, offering him newfound independence and confidence in his daily life.
