I was a drug addict. For about 6 years. My parents left me. It’s been 8 years now and no phone call or text. They never showed up to my wedding or the birth of my son Jacob. I’ve been sober for a year now. My husband Tom was an addict too. His parents did the same thing like mines.

It feels to really cause i was diagnosed with the same stuff as her exactly and me and my mother have the same relationship and I always blame her and never let her I’m but at the end of the day it’s me amd I have to accept that forever the way I’ve treated her for just trying to help because she couldn’t be calm dealing with me at all we never had stability in my life but I know she treid so hard and didn’t deserve a kid as messed up as me I kills me everyday know what I put her thru and being selfish

@@LOISWI I’m doing better, received a professional setback last week but as for alcohol I haven’t had any in almost a month. I don’t want to either. I’ve been to parties, and bars and I just don’t do it. I feel like something in me is changing for the good so I’m going to go back and read my recovery and grief books. You're not born with the right amount of melanin in your body to pigment things the way they're supposed to be. Newborns have lighter hair, skin, and eyes that will darken over time as their body begins producing melanin.

@@plants128 A literal newborn that just came out will always be lighter than they will be as they get older due to low melanin. They develop melanin as they age. Some babies that look dark straight out of the womb will look much darker as they get older if they already have that much melanin at birth. Rue is mixed and has a white dad, and the baby was a newborn rue hence why she looked white. You can't say "that's not true" because it's literally science. It's scientifically proven that babies look paler st birth.
