The transformation of Euploea core (Common Crow) from caterpillar to butterfly.
Host plants: Adenium spp., Ficus Tree (Ficus benjamina), Crown Flower (Calotropis gigantea), etc.
- I raised the caterpillar in a small container.
- When the caterpillar has fully grown, it will form into a chrysalis.
- Pupation takes approximately 7-9 hours after the caterpillar hangs its body with a silk pad.
- The newly formed chrysalis is usually yellow, and it gradually becomes silvery about a day later.
- The chrysalis stage lasts about 6-7 days to become a butterfly. It depends on environmental factors such as climate.
