Great video! Finally someone who understands how to properly euro cast! I’ve always called it the lasso cast 🤠 or an oval cast but helicopters are cool 🤙

The COMPLETE HELICOPTER comes 360 around you with rod tip circling your head. When done properly, its can be used to cast up under low hanging vegetation or other obstructions.

My Dad told me to keep a news paper under my arm when I learned to fly cast. lol Thanks for Tech Tip, can't wait to try it. I too would like to know when using a 13 1/2 foot leader on a very thin fly line, do you need a heavier than a dry fly Weight to make that cast. My line piles up and the end of the rod.

Can I use any rod for this? I mean, I use a ten foot 4 wt now for a mono leader. Can I use the same rod for micro-leaders? Thanks much, and keep up the good work! Toney

Nice teaching videos but I've watched four of them now and I never see any fish caught so how do I know these techniques work it would be nice to see some nice red sides
