Running in the 90s just popped into my recommended on my spotify and it autoplayed and I really liked it and researched it more. I found Initial D and have been a huge fan ever since. I grew up going to local rallies and my dad owned a garage so initial D immediately grew on me.

I like the retrospective perspective that you take when analyzing older media that has stood the test of time and has stayed popular.

I was in a shared room of 3 people living in a house with 10 in the heart of London at 3am. After 2 surgeries paid out of savings that were supposed to be my future. I had something that the national health care system doctors did not want to diagnose and I was there wondering what am I going to do now that I can barely walk and do the shitty jobs I did before. I randomly heard Deja Vu through a meme I clicked by mistake, I said "wtf is this music?". It was like all the cells in my body awakened and I was reborn. I went to uni and 4 years later quadrupled my salary. Eurobeat saved my life. I salute all the artists.

Eurobeat is just a banger. My beginnings with it were also with Initial D. It was really this moment where I started to like a whole music genre, because beforehand I didn´t actively listened to music. I didn´t search for it and only consumed it with other media or on the radio with my parents. But at that moment I wanted to listen to it the whole day. so I started searching on youtube and making my own playlists. firstly with mostly initial D uploads. and then I got sucked deeper and deeper in. Now I have an about 200 video playlist of solely eurobeat and eurobeat remixes. and there is not a single one I dislike. but the best part is always discovering new songs. The genre exists for a long time so there are already a lot of songs which may not be well known so you can really dig for gold there. I only discovered Disney eurobeat last sunday. and I have my fun with it.

Came over here cuz I saw that 86 sitting on your shelf in your latest video, very good video about Eurobeat, its an really amazing genre of music with so much passion still to this day. I know this is a 3 year old video but do you think you'll ever make a vid about Initial D? Its such an underrated anime, and I think personally has some of the best beginning episodes in anime. I only watched Initial D for the first time last year and I have re-watched First Stage too many times to count already.

As a child I always like music with beet that hype you up and as I get older I though it was EDM but there was something about EDM that seems to just not be hyping or just energetic in time I think some few beeps would go a part of a song and then I discovered eurobeat which match my taste of that hyper powerfull energy I was looking for glad I know more about it now

So essentially it started in 2015? That's interesting. I have known Initial D for some time before, but really decided to dive more into it and start watching it around that year. It could be really back because of these videos that inspired me. Which is funny, since I felt like these videos had that early classic internet feel and thought that they were around much longer.
