It was DerKaiser92's idea to make this video; the film hunting, DVD ripping, and editing process spanned over 2 years, and after involving so much work into it JaguarJedi22 finished it this summer.

To all of you wondering why there are Americans in this video while the song is titled Europa: It is because the song is more about Europe and her legacy (of which the US is a part of) than just Europe herself. Plus, we did play a huge part in WWII (point Duhoc was a ranger batallion's mission). The other American clips are a testament to the legacy of Europe, for America is HIGHLY influenced by European doctrines. So in a sense the clips of Americans fit.

The phrase is referring to the past eras. If you are familiar with the whole song, you will know the theme is about the history of Europe - basically the idea of this phrase is to suggest that previously Europe was in a darkness or ignorance but then afterwards became enlightened and moved away from its problems. AVANT HIER, AVANT ETRE - This means "before yesterday", i.e in the past, and "before we were" or before we became something, before our establishment etc DEJA DEMAIN, NOUS SOMME ECLAIRE - This is saying "Since yesterday", again speaking of the past but referring to more recently, "nous somme éclaire", - "we were enlightened". Before yesterday refers to the day/era before the enlightenment Since yesterday refers to the day/era they became enlightened If using the days of the week - Sunday being the current day Friday would be be BEFORE YESTERDAY Saturday would be YESTERDAY It's a very poetic way of saying "we were once nothing but now we have become something" i.e - enlightened. +Dhaune You have a very idealistic world view, this is sympatical but what we experience right now is war. My Country, Germany is taking about 1 Million refugees alone this year. Lots of them are from Syria. Our government plans to settle them in Germany. There are lots of Young men. But if Syria is in peace again, what I hope will happen as soon as possible, Syria will Need her own Population to rebuild this Country. Germany has no right to bleed out the Country of their Population. In the other Hand Germany opens her boarder for everyone without control. Its called Europa because that is the name of the song. They have Americans in this as well because all White Americans ancestors came from Europe. So some what American ancestors had some role that they played in the foundation of Europe.

Yeah, some scenes are in America and shouldn't be in there. Some of this may be because what was happening in America affected Europe like 9/11, the American Revolution and Attack on Pearl Harbor. There was some political British involvement in the American Civil War, IDK if that's what they were going on about. But some American army scenes that are set in Europe, so I guess for all you Europeans who are angry for some American scenes being in this video I ask: "What's the problem?" We fought and died in Europe with you guys, and you fought and died in America with us. It's how history happened. That's how we became allies.

I think the video is amazing and great, but if you change the scenes from the film: The Patriot for scenes of the serie Napoleon and you change the US landmarks and when the song says "the western world..." change the US marines etc for european knights, or greek soldiers or some scenes about Europe will be better I think it is the best epic/war video song i seen but please put more Europe and historically accurace (no ships in Waterloo or Austerlitz, no crusaders in the Berlin Wall...) thanks

Because pretty much the whole white population of America are from Europe (well they have European blood). If you think about it, a lot of Americans may have had an Ancestor that fought in a lot of those battles that where deciding moments in European history. So if you think about it the Americans ancestors played some role in the foundation of Europe (even if America wasn't found nor colonized)

VonPfeifen But the USA fought in Europe's wars, and our nation is built off of European Immigrants. But I agree there is quite a bit of emphasis on America's tragedies in a song about Europe.
