It didn't just feel old... It felt heavy, slow... But it had a great comfy seat! 🤣 It definitely was my cup of tea, but maybe it would be a tad too much for Le Whippet 😉 Thanks for watching as always mate 👍
Oh dear. I feel the mighty Dullville may be getting traded in for a smooth rokkit-ship. I have a re-upholstered seat with gel inserts on the old Blackbird- game changer for motorway/peage cruising.
Don't tempt fate Bilious... It took months to get over that test ride 🤣 Ady has since had the seat done like you had with the Blackbird and I can confirm it changed the bike 😁
I rode it like a 1.9 TDI Volkswagon but it had plenty of torque at low revs and just sailed along.... although when I did unwind it a bit (not 8k kind of unwinding 🤣) it had plenty of go, that's for sure! I can only imagine what it's like at full chat 😁 Thanks for watching this one hachewie, hope you found it quite entertaining even with me behind the controls 🐢😄
Luckily I didn't have to find out, but they were probably wondering how I arrived between the booths so fast... 🤣 Thanks for watching Richard... and now you can say you've seen a Whippet on a rocketship 🤣
Arh Monsieur Le Whippet you didn't put it into 6th / overdrive. 😂 And the red light warning was because I had the key/transponder in my jacket pocket and you clearly fooooked off😂😂😂😂
I'm not used to dealing with so many cogs 🤣 shame the red light wasn't to indicate the thrusters were active because my goodness was it quick! I know you still think about the raw power of the Deauville to this day.... 🤣
I have thought about trying an NT to be honest but I still can't believe it's chain drive! The 1100 must be lovely and responsive though 😁 This won't be the end of Pooley riding big boy bikes... 🤣 Thanks for watching 👍
@@Pooley650 I had same doubts about the NT but I soon got over it as other aspects of this terrific tourer soon makes you forget about the drive shaft. Look forward to your next bike bike fun.
Ey up Oh no, I can see the Deauville will be on sale. That’s the problem when you ride nice new bikes. I’m picking up my NC750X DCT on Tuesday from CMC Clay Cross 😂😂 Si thee
The Deauville will never be for sale... too many miles... too old and it would break my heart 🤣 I've thought about those 750s... we should try and get out in the Peak District some time 😁 Thanks for watching as always!
I see a lot of similarities between the Deauville and the NC750, yet they are so different Let me know when you’re next out in my patch and I’ll make the effort to come and find you, bring your Dad 👴🏻
Oh dear, riding a bigger bike, that roads leads to.... umm, a bigger bike. I nearly spat my coffee out when you put the screen down and got a blast... excellent. Many years ago I borrowed a Kawasaki GPZ900R that belonged to my idiotic brother in law. I ended up on a ten mile stretch of motorway heading home and just picked the speed up a little to get past some cars, it was a quiet Sunday morning and I just kept whizzing along, like you in a nice calm bubble of air behind the screen, until I noticed the cars going backwards a bit fast... they weren't, I looked down at the speedo and found I was approaching 145 MPH! So, when you getting your bigger bike then?
It was a doddle on that big flying sofa Neil.... But as you say with your experience with the GPZ, you are plodding along at what feels like 60 and you look down only to find out you're doing triple digits! Never took you for such a daredevil though 😉 And Pooley on a big bike? You must be mad!!! 🤣
