Lovely coverage of the Milan area stadiums. So much passion, maybe the lady at the entrance understood how much important was for you to get inside the Arena Civica. There's quite an error in the translation. "PATRIA" comes from the latin "Patres" ("Fathers"), so "PATRIA" is the "Fatherland", not the "party". Those guys were shot in december 1943, when northern Italy was controlled by nazi Germany (after september 1943), they were shot because they "conspired for the honour and the freedom of the fatherland", because they were anti-fascist and anti-nazist.

A little clarification on the Fenix Trophy: it's a competion that exists since 2021 (so pretty new), and it's basically the "champions league of the poor man", meaning it works basically the same as the champions league, but is restricted to only amateur and semi-professional teams. The founder of the Trophy, that is sanctioned by UEFA, is Alessandro Aleotti, Brera's president, and currently involves 8 teams: Brera FC (Milan, Italy) Prague Raptors FC (Prague, Czech Republic) KSK Beveren (Beveren, Belgium) FC United of Manchester (Manchester, UK) Afc DWS (Amsterdam, Netherlands) FK Miljakovac (Belgrade, Serbia) Krakow Dragoons FC (Krakow, Poland) BK Skjold (Copenaghen, Denmark) CD Cuenca-Mestallistes 1925 (Valencia, Spain) The motto of the competition is: "Making friends, not millionaires".

Hello! thanks for visiting also this old arena in Milan. my great grandfather used to watch f.c. Inter matchs here before the second world war. i wanna tell you last season Alcione Milano, which is a 4Th division team of Milano, used to play their home matchs here.

I used to live outside of Milano in 2018 and actually managed to visit this stadium by an accident, I overslept when my American Football team had a game in Milano, so I had to travel alone as a foreigner with small Italian knowledge and somehow I ended up going to this stadium even though we played at a stadium over an hour away from this stadium. It was worth it though, my mates got a good laugh and I managed to get inside and walked around confused inside this amazing stadium wondering where my team was at. Such a unique and cool stadium, but I didn’t know the story about Milan Inter and the national team, thanks for telling. Amazing video mate.

Sadly, the oldest football building in world football was knocked down last year. Formerly it was a hundreds year old farmhouse that was then converted into a small grandstand and changing rooms for Queens Park FC at Lesser Hampden, Glasgow.. Worthwhile checking out the pictures of it online.

Boldklubben Skjold Copenhagen is not connected to FC Copenhagen, but they are from the same part of Copenhagen as FC Copenhagen and their stadium is a part of the same complex as Parken - The complex has been home to many of the different teams in Copenhagen...

Great video again. Very nice to see that you got to see the Arena Civica / Arena Gianni Brera, as that's just as important as a football venue as the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Boldklubben Skjold is not a phoenix club, so I guess that tournament is simply a European cup for amateur teams. By the way, since you like to visit lesser known grounds and clubs, the next time you're in Italy you should check out Pro Vercelli. It's located in Vercelli, which is between Torino and Milano I think. They've got an amazing history.

That place is something else the character of it & no way is there any other older ground that is a special as that one. I wouldn’t mind betting the ground site & general area in that park has some incredible history & dare say some darker history to it. All the best anyway & when are you going to get to a game at Millwall’s ever fiery “The Den”??! I recommend the dockers stand lower tier nearest to away fans. Professional Football is returning to the Arena Civica. Alcione Milano SSD, Milan’s 3rd team has just been promoted from Serie D to Serie C. League regulations mean the clubs need to have proper turf (Not synthetic) ! Arena Civica has been chosen as their new home and renovations are expected to get the stadium ready for Serie C football, more importantly professional football !! Insane football stadium :)

I think a great series for next season could be an FA Cup one where you choose a random team that enters at the 1st qualifying round. You then keep following the winning team each round until eventually you get to the final.

It was designed to be flooded and host fake naval battles. Glasgow Rangers played there in European Cup 1957. They lost 2 Nil to AC Milan. Milan won both legs. The match was moved from San Siro due to fog.
