For the record the TENURE of a Manager in Europe is around 16 MONTHS ONLY AND has been getting worse being almost 36 months a decade ago. So Mou lasting 2 to 3 years is actually QUITE NORMAL especially going to clubs having PROBLEMS!. Increasingly nowadays, without refreshing part of the squad, that intensity and desire, that Mou demands to win trophies, begins to drop with a number of individuals certainly lacking professionalism leading to inconsistent performances. Mou is also very expensive to hire and usually expects a decent initial transfer budget to adjust the squad, which club owners are not always willing to cough up despite the obvious lure of potential trophies and meeting set objectives. The latest trend ALSO is that the club ownerships want to choose/control their own purchases especially from a marketing aspect (merchandising sales) - with the manager just expected to COACH what he has been given! Hence, increase in young coaches getting those higher profile jobs who won't complain PLUS come much cheaper. Winning trophies is becoming a secondary consideration to making profits. Mou is a winner, unfortunately the last few clubs have not been anywhere near title consideration and had their own issues. It didn't help that some owners (Spurs/United) chose to ignore Mou's advice on selling/buying players - and he was right on nearly all those he wanted to be replaced - Pogba, Martial, Shaw, Dele, Winks continually injured, inconsistent form EVEN AFTER Mou sacking! At Roma, FFP sanctons in his 2nd year was a major obstacle in the rebuilding process after Mou had reduced the original squad of 40 by 3/4 filling them with many Academy players. Fenerbache has not won a title for a decade but has always been thereabouts and needs someone with experience to get over the line. Mou with 8 League titles spanning 4 countries has that opportunity once again to win with a squad almost ready to take that next step. Mou has the added responsibility to get the club into European competition. Fenerbache must get past the qualifying stages of CL to earn a place in that lucrative tournament. A new adventure is about to begin and Turkish Airlines will be doing a roaring trade as Fenerbache fans across the globe will want to travel to see THIS manager at work.

Jose knows his team strength and when he must change tactics to an attacking flow. This ROMA team is not up there yet so he was very careful with games he believed he could attack. They looked good on paper, but Dybala and co were all not consistent in terms of fitness especially in the first half of the season. However DDR and the Fredkins thought Jose was under performing with the team, he came in and the new DDR Roma attacking, offensive minded team broke down at the end. Always got caught up at the back. exactly what MOU tried avoiding over the period. the team lacks quality in some areas on the pitch which is pretty obvious. very disappointing performances at the latter stage of the season, they just need to invest to compete. Weak teams like ROMA will do well if they only focus on just the league. MOU managing a weaker roma team to THE CONFERENCE league final and europa final and finishing 6th in previous seasons was a MIRACLE.

I must live in a parallel universe were mediocre managers from the Championship are promoted to high ranking clubs in the Premier League, and a trophy winner like Mourinho ends up in the Turkish League.

Listening to ignorant pundits makes me regret that Jose took that great of challenges. For me he's far more capable coach than Pep. No disrespect to him, but going only to teams who are every year champions doesn't prove much, does it? Buying 4-5 fullbacks for 150M+, buying GK not liking him and buying another one straight away. Modern Myth: Success teams in recent years have played 'Fluid' and 'All out' attackig football. 2024: Dortmund and Madrid have got to the final playing on the break against more fluid teams. 2023: Pep went from flying wingbacks (e.g. Cancelo) to essentially 5 CBs when defending. The guy who is the head of the Turkish Football Federation is a registered member of galatasaray club therefore Refs are *not* just and *biased* in Turkey. It is largely believed and recognized, despite the UEFA regulations, Politicians are heavily involved in Turkish Football, therefore Fenerbahce will never win a title as long as Koc is head of the club. Due to the political reasons again, some players and teams do *not* play as hard as they play against Fenerbahce when they play with galatasaray. Fenerbahce - Trabzonspor game was a Shame in Football and I hope Mourinho watches that game before he signs a contract. I don't think he knows what he is getting into. Jorge Jesus who was the Coach of Fenerbahce last year said that "there is no reality and justice in Turkish football" since the Refs were blowing their whistles to please the head of the football federation who is a registered member of galatasaray. Refs again acted maliciously when Fenerbahce and galatasaray played a few weeks ago and showed unjust cards to Fenerbahce players and sent one of the players out with a Red card and Fenerbahce had to play 10 men for 80 minutes and still beat galatasaray 0-1. So, he is getting into an *unjust* and *rigged* environment. He should read the fine prints before signing the dotted line or better yet he should speak with Jorge Jesus.
