Women who garden also love Home Depot.

It’s a common joke how terrible it is when doing a project to get home from Home Depot and realize you forgot to buy something and to have to go back to Home Depot to buy it. We take for granted how lucky we are to be ABLE to go to Home Depot. And yes, American men are, generally speaking, good with tools. My home was built by my great grandfather. My other great grandfather built his own home. He helped one of his sons build his home as well. And none of these men worked in construction. They just took night classes to learn how to do different things after work.

Home Depot is basically a toy store for adults. Not actual toys, but everything to do with construction. Essentially if you were to build a home you can get everything you need as far as tools and materials from Home Depot. All the way down to the paint, carpet and toilets.

Everything you need to build, repair and furnish a home can be found at Home Depot. It has it all, from lumber and nails to paint, home furnishings and appliances. It has electrical and plumbing supplies, too, all in one gigantic store. And don't forget plants and landscaping for the outside of your house. I love this store.

I worked at The Depot for 25 yrs and I loved it. I've quite a few couples like this and yes Depot is definitely someplace couples shop together. Thx for sharing their story. This is the first time I've ever posted to a video. Again, thank you.

I served in the U.S. Army Infantry and fought in Iraq so I love my country and fought for it. I like Yoel and Mari videos, I like anyone's video reactions when they first move to the U.S. or come here for the first time. I wish I could snap my fingers and bring all of Yoel's family here to the U.S. unfortunately I don't have that kind of magic. All parents want their kids to have a better life than they had, Yoel can do that now for his family.

I never really thought about it before, but many Americans know how to "do it yourself." I'm older, but back in my youth almost everyone repaired their houses and cars themselves. Maybe not complicated builds or repairs, but basic maintenance was pretty much standard. My dad taught me how to change a flat tire, change sparkplugs, use jumper cables correctly, etc.Almost all young men knew these skills and a fair number of girls, also. I still have my own tool box.

I can relate to him, when i was young my family was stationed in Moscow. Russia. When we were finally sent home we stayed in Londan until our ship left to the US. Idid not know you could walk into a store and buy things, that cars came in diffdrent colors, that there was fresh fruit in a grocery store ( which i had never seen) and that people talked freely on the street and in the elevators. After 60 years i can still remember the beautiful window displays in the stores that i had never seen before.

Contractors love Home Depot, too. They have a "Contractor Services Desk" at every store where professionals can network, ask advice about things outside of their usual specialties, and lay out budgets for entire projects, amongst other things. For that matter, just walking in to the store wearing a hard hat almost guarantees that an employee is going to ask if you need any assistance finding anything. The company knows its primary customer base, and their training reflects that.

We have Home Depot and Lowe’s. Both large home stores. You can buy everything to build a house, including electrical, plumbing, garden , bathroom, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, kitchen stuff, cleaning supplies. Everything

I love Home Depot!! I spend way too much money there. I go in for a plant, then come out with enough stuff to landscape my entire yard.

As a woman, Home Depot is the only store I enjoy going to. My dad taught me about tools as a kid. I now work in construction inspection for the state highway department. I recently took my 9-year-old niece to Home Depot and then we installed a more sturdy handrail for rhe stairs at my house.

Home depot is fun to walk around. If you need to fix or upgrade something, and don't want to pay a contractor you have to go to a home improvement store like home depot.

I've always been expected to do all home improvement remodels or electrical, plumbing, hvac or whatever. Part of the working class American experience. 😅

I am a dedicated viewer of their channel, which means I watch every single video of theirs start to finish. They are a great couple and represent my country beautifully. Thank you for reacting to them.

Home Depot and Lowes are the two largest home improvement stores in the US. Love both of them and have spent 100's of hours perusing their isles and always finding new things to trigger my imagination. From tools to appliances, floor coverings, bath and kitchen cabinets, sinks, tubs showers, lumber, everything you need to remodel or build. They also carry lawnmowers, yard tools, grass seed, flower plants and seeds as well as vegetable plants and seeds. And the list goes on and on and on. I have been known to spend as many as 8hrs in them. Needless to say, with the exception of my oldest grandson, no other members of my family will go shopping with me if they know I'm going to Home Depot or Lowes. Thank you for being such a kind and empathetic person so happy to have found your channel. Have been subscribed to Yoel and Mari's channel for a while and love it also.

I can only imagine living in a situation where there is literally no option to fix/modify something that's broken, however minor, is demoralizing. This could only exponentially increase with time, the degree and breadth of the problems vs. all the math you could think to do that is still 0 on the side of solutions.

Home Depot is great for the do-it-yourself (DIY) people. They sell everything from lumber, to paint, to faucets, to shrubs. Also great for us before Halloween when we're building haunted ghost ships.

If you wanted to build a house from the ground up then Home Depot has everything....literally....that you would ever need

When I was doing work on my house after my mother died I spent a lot of time and money at Home Depot. I'm always grateful to my dad for teaching me how to fix and build things. Yes, we take everything we have for granted.

Home Depot and Lowe's are the nationwide department store style of hone projects and maintenance. Ace hardware is the younger brother but there's countless other regional and more specific stores. Like anything, sometimes the big store will do but sometimes the tiny store is better.

Home Depot and Lowe's are nationwide home improvement stores. They both also include lawn care equipment, mowers, etc. They also both sell garden plants, flowers and sod.

Yes Home Depot is like the McDonald’s of tools and home improvement supplies. Sinks, fans, flooring, gardening stuff, tools, cleaning supplies, electrical supplies, paint, everything. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Harbor Freight, and some others like this are everywhere in the US.

Yes, Home Depot (and Lowes) are the McDonalds of DIY, home repair, lawns, etc....I have one 4 min from my house in North Dallas. And there are two others and a Lowes within 15 min drive if I can't find that #$@ plumbing part I need at the close one. I cannot imagine living someplace like Cuba where simple things simply do not exist.

Home depot is everywhere; as is the biggest competitor, Lowes. I have seven Home Depots and three Lowes within about 30 minutes driving. The stores open at 6:00 AM and close at 10:00 PM.

Seeing video's like this break my heart, going to stores can feel like a chore, then you see this where its a kid in a candy store, makes me feel ashamed for taking things for granted.

Home Depot is my go-to when I need something house related. If Home Depot doesn't carry it, then I probably don't need it.

Back in the day when Home Depot first opened all the employees were in the construction business. They had licenses and everything and they knew everything. We were in LA the San Fernando Valley and we’re walking around the store and we’re in there with movie stars. People forget that their people they go to the grocery store they go to the gas station they go to Home Depot.😅❤

4:15.Home Depot has basically ANYTHING you need to fix your house, garden, or yard. I go to the one near me at least once a week. It Walmart for the "construction industry."

McDonalds can be found in pretty small towns, as well as big cities. Home Depot is mainly in cities, not in smaller towns. No, you don't have to buy protective glasses in 4 packs. They showed some on the shelf in the video that were singles.

The protective eyewear set he picked up, are 4 different tints on each pair. So depending on the environment he’s working in, he’ll have the correct eyewear. For example if he’s on the roof installing a roof. The dark tinted ones act like sunglasses.

It's not just Home Depot. There are two other companies, Lowes and Menards that are basically the same. There is also national hardware stores that has a slightly smaller selection of materials and tools called Ace Hardware, True Value, and Tractor Supply Company. (and smaller chains)

I'm a woman and I love Home Depot. They have lots of nice planters and flowering plants for gardens too. Potting soil, seeds, house plants. And I love tools too, have done lots of maintence on houses over the years. Cuba is in a bad state, and it's all the fault of their government. I hope she doesn't feel bad anymore, we all need to see how good we have it through his eyes. Home Depots and Lowes and Menards all the same kind of store and most fairly large cities have all 3.

This is a joyful moment. Makes me sad 😢especially when I saw in 1 video that he said his Grandma loved apples and couldn't have one for years. This was heartbreaking, and him having to leave when he saw all of the medication in Costco. 😢😢

I love to watch people from other countries react to things in America. What I have is just so normal to me that I don't think it is anything special, and then I watch reaction videos about the things that are normal for me and realize how not normal they are. Especially in places like Cuba! The hard part is we can't even send stuff they need to that country. It isn't even for a lack of money either that they can't stop the roofs from leaking, it is because it just isn't available. That really breaks my heart.

My husband makes up reasons to go to Home Depot. I get up and he is walking in the door with whatever it was we just couldn't do without at 7AM. I think he goes at least 4 times a week. He just loves the place. And YES it is everywhere. We have 6 within 10 miles of us. One only a mile away.

There are two nationwide stores like this. Home Depot and Lowes. The difference to me is Home Depot seems to lean a bit more to the construction aspect, while Lowes is geared more to an existing home with some construction stuff thrown in. You are more likely to find home decor at Lowes, where I was tonight to pick up salt for the water softener. And, because Home Depot here no longer gives Veteran's discounts, Lowes does.

My dad frequents Home Depot & Lowe’s so much they know him by name. His garage is a mini-hardware store (& auto shop).

I love Home Depot! I am a woman who loves to build furniture and stuff. I like to go and drool over the power tools. Currently, I have to go to a makers studio/woodshop because I live in a 1 bedroom apartment.

I always tell my husband the success of any project is rated by the number of times he has to go to Home Depot. The more trips the better the project. A two trip project is not as good as a 6 trip project

Yes, Home Depot and Lowe's are two huge home improvement stores all across America. I live in a small town in Alabama and we have one of each. I love Lowe's and get a military discount there, which I love.

In my area there are 5 Home Depots that I know of. There may be some more out in the surrounding areas. Usually, they are in areas where there is a lot of new construction in our community. Then they become to go to place for new DIY homeowners that want to make their new homes are old homes more their own.

I already subscribe to Yoel & Mari for about 8 months now. Home Depot is a 'home improvement' store. They do have construction material but that isn't much of the space in one. A lot of men love home improvement. Me included. But you would be surprises at the number of women too. LOL!! Some people are really good with tools. Some aren't. Some tools actually make it hard for anyone to screw up. HD & Lowes are like the McDonald of home improvement. A few other national chains. Some very large regional chains. And a lot of local places.

Not like Costco. No food. Things for the house, etc. Everything to remodel anything.

I love the you where they go to Best Buy for the first time. The Costco video had me a little misty eyed.

Home Depot is more like the Walmart of tools than the McDonald’s of tools. There will always be a Home Depot nearby in any medium size or larger city.

Home depot is all over u.s. also, a competitive store called Loews have the same inventory all through g the U.s. in addition, many many smaller hardware stores/ lumber yards in every town

You may not know this, but Baseball is the national sport of Cuba. Also, the same in the Dominican Republic and also Puerto Rico.

Home Depot is almost everywhere in America but not completely everywhere. We don't have one in San Francisco--they are in the suburbs--but we have Lowe's which is very similar and some people prefer. Also, many believe Lowe's sells more appliances than Home Depot but is less preferred by professional construction people.

As of April 2024, Home Depot has 2004 stores in the USA. that's around 40 stores per state on average. This makes it a large home improvement chain for sure but it's by far not the biggest or close to the store density of Walmart or McDonalds. Ace Hardware is the home improvement store in the USA with the most locations at 4867 stores. Walmart has 4609 stores and McDonalds has 13529 locations in the USA alone. Just some fun facts for you. Everyone loves all the home improvement stores across the US. We can go in and pick out a new kitchen sink, talk to staff about having new kitchen counters measured and installed, pick up flooring samples if we're not sure what we want, find new appliances, lighting, plumbing parts, tools, literally anything you need for your home or property. Everything is all under one roof and if you own a home, you just can't avoid going, at some point. The state Cuba is in is directly caused by the Cold War. When the US embargoed Cuba, everything stopped there. Life went on, but development came to standstill. There was nothing being imported to Cuba. The US embargo threatened our allies, as well. No one was legally allowed to send anything into Cuba or they would be included in it. Cuba wasn't a military threat to anyone, so we didn't go in and dismantle the government. We closed of all trade routes and left them to their own devices. Americans don't hate Cubans, but their government bowed to Russia at a time when tensions were very high for possible nuclear war. We only recently lifted the embargo on Cuba and, surprise, surprise, history is repeating itself. I sincerely hope it doesn't go that way again.
