Great job on the shots Peter and good find. I very rarely see foxes in these parts nowadays, used to many years ago though. Biggest problem for native animals in my parts now in inconsiderate cat owners who let their cats roam around the streets at night instead of keeping indoors 🤷♂️
Very interesting Peter I had no idea you had foxes in Oz. Certainly never saw a single one on my trips over or when I was living there. The one you photographed certainly didn’t look very healthy .😀
Hey. Yes the poor thing looked pretty malnourished/sick. I haven’t seen as many the last couple of years but heard one a few months ago mucking around in our front yard making freaky calls😁 Have a great weekend buddy!
Wow. Never knew this mate. Absolutely gorgeous creatures - such a shame they are there though. A bit like American Mink over here - although Mink numbers are reducing fast for a number of reasons. Are the authorities trying to eradicate them or just letting them be? Stunning shots Peter. That one didn’t look well did it. But even then it’s a beautiful creature.
Hey Dave. Not sure about their current numbers but there are way too many around unfortunately, have seen them in our garden several times before. They are beautiful animals but shouldn’t be here😬. Hope you guys have been well!
Great images, as always, Peter. That made me quite sad to watch though. Invasive or not, it's not their fault. They are just trying to survive like the rest of us. In Florida we had massive iguanas that were not native and it was.legal shoot them, run over them with your car, etc. I've heard in the UK they are trying to kill off the grey squirrel because they are a threat to the native red squirrels. It just makes me sad that we treat any creature on this earth bad. Sorry for the sob story comment. But great images mate, nicely done!
